Arsenal news: £30 million midfielder has agreed terms – set for summer move

It has been claimed that Arsenal star Thomas Partey has agreed terms over a move to Juventus.

Partey was a massive part of that ARSENAL squad last season and did impress at times for Mikel Arteta – but towards the end of the season he fell off the boil and did not impress many people.

That prompted Mikel Arteta to delve into that transfer kitty this summer and add Declan Rice to the squad – with the former West Ham midfielder expected to walk straight into the squad at the Emirates and be a regular starter.

That has led to constant speculation in the media that Partey is a man that Arsenal are open to selling – and a move to Saudi Arabia or Seria A has been mentioned – with a few clubs interested in a potential deal.

WHAT IS THE LATEST – 

Despite all the suggestions that he is a Partey is a player that Mikel Arteta would like him to stay at the club – his representatives have been in talks with Juventus about a summer move, according to reports on the Sky Sports website.

And now it seems that a fee just needs to be agreed has he has reportedly agreed terms over a move.

Jay Bothroyd recently told the midfielder to leave Arsenal –

“I think, from his point of view, he should move on,” said Bothroyd. “Especially if he feels like ‘I want to play week in and week out’. He’s not going to do that with Declan Rice.

“When Arteta said ‘they can both play together’. I think that would be in a 4-2-3-1. Odegaard as a number ten, then two sitting. But I don’t think that’s going to happen that much.

“I think someone like Jesus can be pushed wide if they sign a striker. I think a striker for Arsenal is key. They need a striker that’s going to come in and score, at least, 20 Premier League goals a season.

“If Partey wants to play every week, then he has to leave. But if he is happy to be a part of the squad, then it’s good for Arsenal that he stays.”

SHOULD PARTEY LEAVE – 

Partey is too big of a player to be sitting on the bench every week and that is why he should probably leave the club – he is not a youngster anymore and doesnt have time to waste.

Rice is the main starter at the club and that is the way forward – Partey can either accept that or leave.
