Arsenal make Partey offer, Coutinho deal will happen if, Gunners keen on Ginter, Willian has offers in Arsenal news roundup..
Arsenal are one of several top teams linked with Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter this summer window.
Mikel Arteta is a man that knows that this Arsenal side is simply not good enough to get back inside those top four spots next season and will need the backing of the board to delve into that transfer kitty and land a few players.
And having one of the worst defences out of the Premier League’s top ten clubs, means that the Spaniard is eyeing up a number of potential deals that he could solve the issues at the back with.
And Sky Germany report that They are now interested in trying to secure a deal for German defender Ginter, who has developed into one of the most solid defenders in the Bundesliga over the past few seasons.
He is currently valued at around the £35-40 million mark, a fee that Arsenal should be able to afford if they do make a move, and although Monchengladbach do not want to let him leave, reports have claimed that they would be willing to let him go id the price is right.
“As a coach, you know what to expect from him,” national manager Joachim Low recently said about the young man
“He’s dependable and he’s able to do what we want him to do, which is to help build the play up from the back.
“He’s improved defensively too. He has a certain calmness about him, which is what makes him so solid, reliable and dependable.”
The agent of Chelsea star Willian has admitted that the Arsenal – linked target has ‘two concrete’ offers from Premier League clubs.
Despite being an integral part of the Chelsea side this season, the headlines that has been dominating the media for Chelsea fans is the one in which suggests that Willian is on his way out of the club.
Willian has admitted that he wants to stay, Frank Lampard has admitted that he wants to stay, Chelsea fans are keen to see him stay, but reports have suggested that the club will not offer him the three-year contract that he desires, meaning that he is on the radar of Arsenal.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta knows that he needs to add a bit more creativity to his side in the summer window, but also knows that he may not get the massive budget he will need to sign a world class player like Willian for a big fee, but on a free deal, he will be able to do that.
And amid all the speculation, his agent Kia Joorabchian has now confirmed that a whole host of potential suitors are interested in Willian’s services, including an unnamed club from MLS.
When asked to discuss the midfielder’s current stance on his position at Chelsea, the super-agent told talkSPORT: “I don’t think he’s done a U-turn or any kind of turn. He’s always been very much the same mode.
“We had big offers – one from MLS which required him to move on July 1 – but he’s always wanted to finish the season at Chelsea and the day after the season has finished he would decide.
“He has two concrete offers from Premier League clubs on the table, an offer from an MLS club, and two other offers from Europe.
“He is going to make his decision after the last game of the season.”
Barcelona are reportedly prepared to let Philippe Coutinho join Arsenal in a player-plus-cash deal, with Matteo Guendouzi going the other way.
There has been alot of transfer speculation, and we mean alot, over the past few months about Arsenal trying to bring the Brazilian star back to the Premier League, with many reports suggesting that he was done at Barcelona and had no future with the club.
He has not made the kind of impact at the club that many at Barcelona were hoping for, and was even shipped out to Bayern Munich for a couple of seasons in hope that he could get back to his very best, but that has not happened.
And according to reports on Foot Mercato, Barcelona have now decided that they will let Coutinho make that summer move to Arsenal if they hand over Guendouzi-plus-cash this summer window.
Guendouzi is regarded very highly with the Arsenal fans who believed that he would be a massive star for the club, but after falling out with boss Mikel Arteta and failing to impress on the pitch, his future at the club looks uncertain.
Barcelona have reportedly been keeping a close eye on the situation with Guendouzi at Arsenal and are big fans of the talents of the Frenchman, so they are willing to do a swap deal for Coutinho.
It is reported Barca want around £45.5million for the playmaker, but with Arsenal keen to offload Guendouzi, they may be prepared to offer the deal to land the Brazilian this summer.
Arsenal have had a bid rejected for Thomas Partey with Atletico Madrid unwilling to part ways with the midfielder.
There has been alot of transfer speculation in the media over the past few months that Partey is the number one transfer target for Arsenal, that he is the man that Mikel Arteta believes could improve this Arsenal midfield.
Mikel Arteta knows that he needs to add some power and creativity to this Arsenal midfield in order to take the club forward over the next few seasons, and Partey is seen as a man that could bring that to the club.
Many reports over the weeks have claimed The Gunners are eager to bring the Ghanaian to the Emirates but cannot afford his £45m release clause, and Atletico will only sell the 27-year-old if the clause is met in full.
That led to claims that Arsenal have made an offer of £23 million plus the out-of-favour midfielder Mateo Guendouzi, who looks all set to depart the club after falling out with boss Arteta.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed Arsenal have informed their La Liga counterparts they will not be doing so, and that has led to Madrid telling the Premier League giants that they are too far apart on a potential transfer deal.
He posted on Twitter: “Arsenal at the moment are still offering €25M + one player. Atlético are NOT going to sell Thomas for less than €50M (release clause).
“but Arsenal today told to Atléti they don’t want to pay the whole clause. No agreement #AFC #Arsenal @MatteMoretto
Look, if Arsenal do want to acquire the services of Partey then they need to be prepared to pay the money that it will take to sign the man, £45 million is not alot of money to land a top-class midfielder in todays transfer market is it?
