Arsenal give green light to powerful midfielder to make mega-money move

ARSENAL are ready to listen to offers for Thomas Partey when they finally complete the signing of West Ham star Declan Rice, reports SunSport’s Mark Irwin.

The Gunners are looking to spend some serious money this transfer window in order to challenge for that Premier League title once again – with Declan Rice the man tipped to make a move.

It is believed that Arsenal want the player – it has been claimed that Rice wants a move to the Emirates and it has even been claimed that personal terms have been agreed – but that £100 million asking price is holding things up.

That means that Thomas Partey may lose his starting spot in the side – which has led to reports that he has been offered a massive contract to make the move to Saudi Arabia

Partey was one of Mikel Arteta’s most important players last season as they finished runners-up to Manchester City and secured Champions League qualification after a six-year absence from Europe’s top competition.

But he noticeably ran out of steam during the title run-in which prompted fresh doubts about his ability to sustain top form over an entire campaign.

On his day – Partey can be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and a man that Mikel Arteta can really rely on – but with Declan Rice on his way in – he will not be needed as much.

There are many players that are now making the move to the middle east – players that are still in their prime and ones that still have the ability to play at the very top of the game.

If the reports are true and Arsenal have given the green light for Thomas Partey to leave the club – it will come as no big surprise as there has been alot of speculation surrounding his future for a while.

But ARSENAL need depth for next season and dont need to sell before they buy.
