Midfielder deslighted after completing move – £60M star wants to join Arsenal – Arteta has signed next Henry

Big Gabriel Jesus claim made – Maddison wants to join Arsenal – Patino delighted with summer move in Arsenal roundup –
Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that Gabriel Jesus could be Arsenal’s next Thierry Henry after a very impressive pre-season
After months of speculation – Mikel Arteta managed to convince Man City to allow Gabriel Jesus to depart the club this summer – and then convinced the brazilian that a move to the Emirates was the right one to make
There had been some doubts that he would join the Gunners – as they are not competing in the Champions League – but in the end – he agreed that massive £200,000-a-week move to London and has shone in Pre-season
And ahead of the new Premier League season at the weekend – Agbonlahor has opened up and told the Gunners fans that he believes Arteta has signed the next Thiery Henry: “I don’t really count pre-season because everyone is at different stages of fitness, the players you play against might not be as fit as you,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.
“But what you can tell from pre-season is that he is going to fit into the Arsenal way.
” He’s going to get so many chances, chances that [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang, [Alexandre] Lacezette, [Eddie] Nketiah and [Folarin] Balogun were all missing, he will put away.
“He will get at least 15 Premier League goals, guaranteed. That’s huge and what Arsenal have been missing.
“Over the years they’ve had Ian Wright, Thierry Henry, now this is the next one for Arsenal. I’m sure he’ll be on penalties, he’ll be on everything, he’ll be the talisman.”

Jesus has proven in pre-season that he will score goals for the club – so everyone is excited to see just what he is able to do over the course of the real season
He has been a brilliant buy – but he will need to step up and score more than 15 goals next season – Arteta and Arsenal need it
Patino completes move –
Charlie Patino has opened up and announced his delight after securing his loan move from Arsenal to Blackpool this week
Patino has been with Arsenal since the age of 11 and made his first-team debut in a Carabao Cup tie against Sunderland last season – he is regarded as one of the brightest young talents at the club
But he is not quite ready to challenge for that first-team spot on a regular basis and the Gunners board made the big decision to let him leave the club in loan for the next 12 months – which allowed Blackpool to complete a deal
And after securing that move – Patino has opened up and announced that he is delighted with this opportunity – he told the Blackpool website: “This is a great opportunity for me, and I think I’m ready to take this on. It’s the next step of my career and I’m really excited to get going.
“I spoke to Danny Ballard and Dujon Sterling before coming to the Club and they were full of praise and said it’s an amazing place to be where everybody is welcome.
“They also mentioned the fans, the Tangerine Army, who are always on their feet at home and away games. I’m just buzzing to play in front of them and show them what I’m about.”
Head Coach Michael Appleton added:
“Charlie is a very talented boy and I’m delighted that Arsenal have trusted us to look after him and further his development.
“The Club has a good relationship with Arsenal from previous loan deals, as I have personally from taking players to my former clubs, with Brooke Norton-Cuffy being the most recent last season.
“Charlie is one of the best midfielders in his age group and I can’t wait to start working with him.”

Maddison wants move –
Transfer guru Dean Jones has claimed that Leicester City star James Maddison would prefer to join the likes of Arsenal over Newcastle United.
After developing into one of the most creative players in the Premier League – and before his serious injury – Maddison was linked with a move to Arsenal throughout the last summer transfer window but, despite speculation, a transfer never materialised
It has been claimed that ArsenalFC were prepared to pay as much as £50 million to try and secure a transfer deal for Maddison, but Leicester did not want anything less than £60 million, so the Gunners opted to get Martin Odegaard instead
However, the Gunners have maintained their interest in the player as Mikel Arteta knows that he needs to keep improving on the quality of player that he has at the club right now, and it is believed a move will be made.
But there is speculation that Newcastle have already made a move to sign Maddison as they seek to try and make some impact signings by the end of the transfer window
But – according to Jones – Maddison would prefer to join the likes of Arsenal or Tottenham over joining the Toon – Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Jones said: “James Maddison has had an approach from Newcastle.
“The offer Newcastle have put to Leicester isn’t enough and they have to decide whether or not to bid again.
“They’ve not been encouraged to bid again, and I don’t get any signs that Maddison actually wants to join Newcastle, from what I hear Maddison wants to join Tottenham or Arsenal.
“If he’s going to leave Leicester one of those two need to make an offer, that’s the latest I’ve heard.”

Maddison is a very gifted player but we cant see him joining ArsenalFC or Tottenham at this stage of the transfer window – especially as the Toon are offering a lot more than what the London clubs are offering
But it will be interesting to see how this all plays out as Newcastle have been unable to sign the players that they want
