Nelson ‘ready to break’ into Emery squad, Gunners interested in Perisic, agent meeting in London in Arsenal Thursday

Here is the daily roundup of Liverpool news and gossip from icfootballnews

On-loan Hoffenheim forward Reiss Nelson has admitted that he will be looking to break into the Arsenal side when he returns to the Emirates at the end of the season.

With all the top-class talent that Unai Emery had at his disposal at the beginning of the season, Nelson made the smart decision to leave the Emirates during last summer’s transfer window and look for some regular game time with the Bundesliga side, and he has impressed during his time in Germany.

There have been highs and lows for Nelson away from Emirates Stadium however,, including six goals and punishment for a breach of club rules, but the experience has been productive on the whole and many Gunners fans cant help but rave about the potential on the young man.

And now that the season is coming towards its end, Nelson believes he is better placed to force his way into Unai Emery’s plans, with the England U21 international telling The Sun of his future ambition: “If I wasn’t aiming to break into the Arsenal first team, that wouldn’t be the correct mindset.

“I need to go there with that mindset of breaking into that team.

“I’ve done a year loan in Germany which has had ups and downs, but I’m going to be ready for next season. I want to get to the very top.” (Read more)

Fresh reports have claimed Arsenal are looking to challenge Tottenham and sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal are currently chasing a Champions League spot ahead of the summer transfer window as they seek to challenge for the Premier League title once more in the coming transfer window, and have been linked with a move for Perisic.

Perisic is regarded as one of the best wingers in Europe right now and has been lined with a possible move to the Premier League after suggesting that he is ready to test himself outside of Seria A and in one of the top three Leagues in world football.

The 30-year-old was on Tottenham’s wishlist during the January transfer window if reports are to be believed, but Spurs could simply not convince Inter to let their player leave half way through the season.

But with reports suggesting that Arsenal are ready to delve into their transfer kitty at the end of the season and try to secure a few big named signings, reports on the Corriere Dello Sport website have claimed that Inter are now seeking to cash in on Perisic.

Despite his age, it is believed that Inter are seeking a fee close to the £40 million mark. (Read more)

Reports from Italy have claimed that Arsenal are set to meet the agent of former Aston Villa star Jordan Veretout about a potential move to the Emirates.

He made 29 appearances in his first and only season with Villa, which ended in relegation to the Championship, before spending the following season on loan at Saint-Etienne which ultimately secured him a £60 million move to Fiorentina in 2017 where he has rebuilt his career.

And his form has alerted Arsenal, who view him as a replacement for Juventus-bound midfielder Aaron Ramsey after the Welshman failed to agree a new contract and instead opted to pack his bags and make the smart decision to sign for the Italian Champions in a deal worth around £350,000-a-week.

And according to reports on the Gazzeta Dello Sport website, the Arsenal management team are about to meet Mario Giuffredi, the agent of French midfielder Veretout in London about a possible £20 million move to the Emirates during the summer window.

Veretout has scored the same number of goals (5) as Ramsey this season and his small price tag is not seen as too much of a risk, as Emery has had the player scouted on numerous occasions and reportedly believes he is ready to come in and help fill the void of Ramsey.
