PL boss OFFICIALLY tells Chelsea they can sign Spaniard for £40 million in the summer

Brentford Boss has told CHELSEA they may must pay £40 million to sign David Raya this summer.

Chelsea now have a new manager after they confirmed that Mauricio Pochettino has agreed to move to the club

And it is no secret that the Blues are worried about the goalkeeper situation, with Edouard Mendy linked with a move away from the club and Kepa a man that is too inconsistent to be the regular number one.

And that has led to reports in the media that Raya is a man that the club are very much interested in after a stunning season for Brentford. And recent reports on the Goal website have claimed that he is one player that Mauricio Pochettino has demanded to be signed.

Now  – amid that speculation – Frank has opened up and claimed that £40 million is the price to pay for the Spaniard – he was quoted on Sky Sports: “I hope he will stay forever but it looks like it could be difficult with the contract situation.

“He must be at least £40m plus. If he had three years it would be £70m.

“How much was Kepa? He is at least as good as him.”

Raya is a very impressive stopper that has been very good this season – but is he really better than what CHELSEA have at the club? Is he really worth the £40 million that is being talked about.

There are better stoppers out there – ones that have already played at the very highest level of the game.

Chelsea have been buying players that have not made much of an impact at the club – and unfortunately – Raya is a man that is not better than what the club already have.

But if he is the stopper that Pochettino wants – he will surely get him
