Mauricio Pochettino OFFICIALLY confirms he wants £50M star at Chelsea – talks to happen
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking on Conor Gallagher, amid all the latest transfer speculation.
Gallagher had been in the transfer headlines alot this summer as it was believed that CHELSEA would have allowed him to depart the club if the right offer was made.
That has led to constant speculation in the media that West Ham are very keen to try and get a deal done for the midfielder – and even made an offer of £40 million, which was rejected by the Blues as they were seeking closer to £50 million for Gallagher.
He has featured in the opening months of the season for Mauricio Pochettino, but there is still a feeling that Chelsea would be open to the idea of letting him leave should the right offer arrive in the coming weeks.
“We need to talk about many things. It’s clear that Conor still has one-year-and-a-half on his contract with us and when you arrive at this point, you need to talk and take some decisions for the future.
“Those conversations will be between the club and the player. The club is happy with him and he is happy with here.”
SHOULD GALLAGHER STAY AT CHELSEA?
There is no doubt that Gallagher is a talented midfielder that could shine under Pochettino – so if the boss wants him at CHELSEA – stay. Especially as there is a place for him in the side.
It has come as quite a shock to see that he could be leaving the club over the next few weeks as he has played so much time under Pochettino this season, but he does not really produce too many assists and does not really score too many goals.
