Pochettino reveals Chelsea ‘working very hard’ ahead of potential record-breaking deal

Mauricio Pochettino says Chelsea are ‘working very hard’ to secure their transfer targets after being asked about Moises Caicedo.

Caicedo is a player that CHELSEA have been linked with for the last couple of months and have been trying to get a transfer deal done for the midfielder.

However – the issue has been that massive asking price that Brighton have placed on the head of Caicedo – they want a staggering £100 million for their star man, and Chelsea are not keen to pay that amount.

But that does not mean that Personal terms have not been agreed, because if you believe the many reports in the media, Caicedo has already accepted the project that is happening at Stamford Bridge.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

Amid the ongoing transfer saga against Liverpool, he said in his press conference: “I think you know me very well, I never talk about players that don’t belong to us, I am so respectful.

“We are working really hard to try to add more players to the squad, add quality. Of course if we have an update for you, the club will do.

“But at the moment, I don’t want to talk about players that don’t belong to us, that is really important to me, very respectful with the clubs and the player.

“But like any club, we are working really hard to try to add more quality and of course to reinforce the team, the squad.

“We are working hard, I’m so happy with Paul [Winstanley], Laurence [Stewart] and the owners, the relationship is really, really good and really close. At the moment so far, so good, we are so happy to work in this way.”

WHAT ARE CHELSEA DOING?

All this money being spent on a player that has done nothing in the game – has had one good season in the Premier League, doesn’t score goals, doesn’t assist, it is mad.

The money men at CHELSEA need to sort some stuff out as Caicedo is not worth the money that is being talked about.
