Mauricio Pochettino reponds to rumours Chelsea set to close deal for £50M man

Mauricio Pochettino didn’t give much away when asked about the potential Chelsea exit of Marc Cucurella to Man United.

After establishing himself as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League during his time with Brighton – CHELSEA made the move to bring him to Stamford Bridge in a deal that was worth £50 million.

There was alot of hype surrounding the player and his ability – but he has failed to leave a mark on that Chelsea side and According to a recent report on Spanish newspaper Marca, that has prompted Chelsea to try and cut their losses on the defender and it is claimed that he was offered to Atletico Madrid.

However – a move to Spain never happened as he wanted to stay at the Blues this summer and fight for his place in the side – but it now seems that he could be set for a more after all.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

United made an informal approach for Cucurella on Saturday and Marca say the Spaniard is now close to completing a loan switch to Old Trafford.

On the potential summer exits – he said: “I am not involved in these situations. I am focused on the team. That is between the club and the player.

“Nobody communicated that something is finished. When something is done the club will communicate to you.”

On Marc Cucurella’s links to Man United, he continued: “I cannot talk about supposition or rumours.

“For tomorrow he is going to be able to play. The club did not communicate to me. All of the players in the squad are in our plans.

“It’s about situations, players and club, club and players. All of the players that are in our squad are in our plans even if they didn’t play at the moment.”

We are not surprised to see the Spaniard linked with a move away CHELSEA – but we are shocked that a move to Man United is happening as we truly believed that he would be leaving for a switch abroad.

If he cannot shine at Chelsea, he will be able to shine at Man United
