Pochettino OFFICIALLY speaks on ‘one of the best’ opens door for £100M star to join Chelsea

Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking on Chelsea target Harry Kane and has failed to rule out a move for the striker.

CHELSEA have managed to sign Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku this summer in order to improve that front-line – but there is still talk that a world class striker is wanted at the club.

And that has led to many reports in the media that Pochettino has asked the board to try and sign Harry Kane – a player that he worked with at Tottenham and a man that is heavily tipped to leave the Spurs in order to win trophies.

A move across London to Chelsea would be like Sol Campbell joining Arsenal – but Pochettino has now represented both clubs from the dugout and he sounded keen to work with Kane again.

‘I don’t like to talk about players in another club, but you are talking about one of the greatest, one of the best strikers in the world,’ he said of the 29-year-old.

‘It’s not fair to talk, it’s not fair to say nothing. People are not stupid, fans are not stupid, they are so clever and they know my relationship with him was always amazing.

‘I saw him when he was young, grow up and achieve all he was achieving and of course we have a great relationship.’

‘We’ll see,’ he said. ‘It depends on the situation and the circumstances. We are working. Football is really dynamic. What we have today maybe disappears tomorrow.

‘We need to be ready to … [if] we need more or not. Or maybe we go to the pre-season and we realise that we need to improve in different positions or add more players that can score, or we have enough.

‘It’s really dynamic and we are going to assess every day the situation.’

WOULD KANE EVER JOIN CHELSEA ?

Tottenham fans would like to think that he loves the club far too much to move across London – but the honest answer is yes he would.

Chelsea would offer more chances to win trophies – he would get a bigger wage and would get the chance to work under Poch again.
