Man United target Pochettino announces ‘i could finish career’ at Tottenham

Maurizio Pochettino has told both Manchester United and Tottenham that he may finish his career at Spurs.

Pochettino, who is regarded as one of the finest managers in world football, has been heavily linked with moves to United and Real Madrid over the past few seasons, as they both see him as the ideal candidate to lead their repsective clubs into the future.

He has transformed Tottenham into one of the best sides in Europe, and with the new stadium on the way, there is alot of hype surrounding the Spurs side right now as many believe Pochettino is on the edge of winning some silverware for the club.

And amid all the speculation that he is considering his future with the club, Pochettino suggestedt he could look to replicate Arsene Wenger’s reign in north London, and see out the remainder of his managerial days with Spurs.

“I have a massive, huge respect for Arsene Wenger. Because when people talk of his 22-years in charge of a club like Arsenal and all that happens in that period,” said Pochettino on the Sky Sports website.

“You need to be so good, not only a coach but the values you translate.

“I hope, or wish, to be here 20 years and decide to leave or to finish my career here. But I need to ask him, if one day I get the opportunity, if he is happy in the way he finishes. I don’t believe [he did].”

Does Pochettino need to leave Spurs right now?

It is very easy to see just why there is alot of interest in Pochettino as he is a top-class manager, but even though he still hasnt won a trophy at Tottenham, the squad is good enough to win something this season, and then progress into one of the best sides in Europe.

He has no need to leave, especially with the club heading in the right direction.
