Reporter Iomie Stanley has claimed that Mauricio Pochettino could be in trouble if Chelsea fail to get into a European place this season

The former Tottenham and PSG boss came to Chelsea with a big reputation and a man that many believed would get the club challenging for all the big titles and Champions League spots.

However – CHELSEA FC are underperforming this season and are languishing down in the Premier League, and are quite a long way off getting back into a European place.

Now – Stanley has opened up and claimed that Pochettino may be in trouble come the end of the season – he said: “This is a massive few weeks in CHELSEA‘s season, which could fall apart if they are not careful.

“It’s a long-term project at Chelsea, you don’t buy players and put them on seven or eight-year contracts and start changing the manager every six months. That’s a waste of time giving them those contracts as you need stability.

‘However – the board have been expecting different results – fans have been expecting and demanding big wins – Chelsea have not been good enough this season, Pochettino ha snot got his tactics right on many occasions.

‘If Chelsea do not get back into Europe this Season – then the board may make an early summer decision and hire another boss – and maybe give him more freedom to get the players that he would like.’

The feeling around the club is not the best and the board will have a massive decision to make if Pochettino cant get things right – he has really struggled to get his players performing this season.

would CHELSEA FC fans be unhappy if he got the sack?
