Pogba drops massive future hint, Man United sent exciting Greenwood message, Moyes has Rice transfer message for Solskjaer
Pogba drops future hint, Man United fans sent exciting Greenwood message, Rice deal battle on in Manchester United roundup…
David Moyes expects Manchester United Declan Rice to play for West Ham next season, warning: Only a steel van of cold, hard cash would tempt us.
Rice has been an outstanding player for the Hammers this season and is easily now one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League, with United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly ready to pay big money to try and get a deal done.
There is no doubt that Solskjaer is seeking to build a side that is capable of challenging for that Premier League title next season, and the versatility that Rice has been able to show this season, means that he will be hot property in the transfer window.
That means that the The Hammers’ owners will have to pay hardball with the likes of United, especially as David Moyes has no intention of letting his very best player leave the club in the transfer window
Moyes said on Sky Sports: “Declan is under contract.
“He goes on holidays now as far as I know. Hopefully he is selected for England.
“He will be back in pre-season with us in three weeks. That’s as much as I can tell you.
“Rightly so Declan should have attention because he’s such a good player.
“But he’s not going anywhere unless you get one of those steel vans that have the cash in it. You better bring one of them!”
Jamie Redknapp has opened up and claimed that Manchester United starlet Mason Greenwood is one of the best that Nicky Butt has ever seen.
Greenwood has been in the headlines for all the right reasons this season and has become a firm regular in the starting eleven that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer puts out on a weekly basis.
The England U21 international has helped United get back into the hunt for a Champions League place next season, with his 19-goals in all competitions breaking all sorts of records.
Redknapp says Nicky Butt, United’s Head of Youth Development, described Greenwood as “one of the best we’ve ever seen” – and it seems his star will continue to rise.
“Now we’re seeing why there was such excitement,” Redknapp wrote in the Daily Mail.
“United are a club who treat young players properly. They pride themselves on it.
“That’s why we can be sure Greenwood is in good hands. They will be in his ear keeping him grounded.
“I remember seeing Michael Owen break through, too. I was on the pitch the day he made his Liverpool debut against Wimbledon and became the club’s youngest scorer at 17 years and 144 days. That was in May 1997 but we’d heard long before that about this boy from the academy who was coming through the ranks.
“That’s what happens at clubs when they have a special talent on their hands: rumours go around. The only question is whether they can handle the step up. Owen did, and Greenwood is doing so, too.”
Frenchman Paul Pogba has opened up and hinted that his long-term future lies at Manchester United.
Pogba is easily regarded as one of the finest midfielders in the game right now, despite all the criticism that he has been receiving over the last few seasons, and since the re-start of football, has started looking like himself.
But there has still be alot of transfer speculation in the media which have claimed that he could still leave the club when the transfer window opens up, with the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona all reportedly interested in a deal.
But Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to keep hold of the Frenchman and there has been reports in the media which have claimed that United are ready to hand the midfielder a new contract to sign up.
And amid talk of a new contract being put to him, has indicated that he will be sticking around in Manchester. He posted on social media after helping United to a 2-0 victory over Leicester which secured them a third-place finish: “Let’s gooooooo Champions League baby.”

If Pogba does want to stay at Manchester United, the future may look bright for the club as he will be a big reason why they could get back into the habit of winning trophies again.
If he does go, it will be a massive blow, so many will be hoping that he stays in the summer and eventually agrees to sign a new contract at the club, which will surely end all speculation about his immediate future at Old Trafford.
