Potter confirms star will be at Chelsea – Blues open talks to sign £35M man – Chelsea informed target is 100% moving
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed today guys –
Chelsea target Marcus Thuram is “100% not going to extend” his current Borussia Monchengladbach contract, expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed.
Having already splashed the cash this transfer window and added the likes of Joao Felix, David Fofana and Andrey Santos to that attack, Chelsea are looking to get some more business done.
Graham Potter is having a terrible time of it with injuries right now with a number of players out for a period of time, and Thuram is a player that the club can get for a reported £9 million.
The 25-year-old has been making a real name for himself over in the Bundesliga – is a full French international and is a player that has the physical attributes to make an impact on the Premier League.
Now, if you believe the words of Romano – he will be leaving Borussia after deciding to not extend his current deal with the club – opening the door for Chelsea to try and seal a transfer move.
“Also in this case it depends on the conditions of the deal,” Romano told GMS.
“Thuram is available as a free agent in the summer because he’s 100% not going to extend the contract with Gladbach.
“So, many clubs are approaching him from Italy, like Inter to sign him as a free agent in the summer.”

Thuram has the ability to play all across that front-line – is a very powerful winger that would be a great signing for Chelsea , he is ready for that next step.
And for the money that Chelsea could sign him for – it would not be a massive risk to take from the Blues should they sign the Frenchman
Maduake talks –

Ruud van Nistelrooy admits PSV could be helpless to prevent Noni Madueke from leaving after Chelsea opened talks to sign the England U21 winger.
The highly-rated forward has gone on to score 20 goals in 79 first-team appearances for PSV, with his form attracting interest from Premier League giants Chelsea.
Graham Potter has had some serious injury issues to a number of first-team players already this season and knows that he needs to add more depth in order to get through the next few weeks, and months.
That has led to reports that Chelsea have made their moves to try and sign the talented Madueke – who has been impressing over in the Dutch League over the past few seasons.
Addressing the speculation surrounding Madueke, PSV boss and Manchester United legend Van Nistelrooy has admitted that there is nothing he can do to stop the young man from leaving – he said: ‘I know there is interest. This is due to his qualities and performance. It’s a worry.
‘We need to see if we can keep him. I very much hope for that. We must do everything we can to do that. But you also know that things can take off, if the purse is pulled hard.
‘Then you have to be ready with several options, because then you would lose a second player in January. But as a coach you would rather keep your best players.
‘Situations can arise where clubs come in with an offer that cannot be stopped.’

Chelsea are buying all these young talents that have done nothing in the game really – and will not do anything for a few seasons – and Madueke is one of those type of talents.
Yes he has done well – in the DUTCH League – and yes he has impressed – but this is the Premier League – Potter needs players that are ready to make a difference now – not in a few seasons.
Auba staying –

Graham Potter has addressed the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and informed Chelsea fans he will be staying at the club.
Chelsea were desperate to add to their attack in the summer transfer window and were linked with so many players – some big ones too – as former boss Thomas Tuchel wanted to be backed in the market.
But despite all the world class players that were heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge – Aubameyang was the name that arrived at the club.
However – Aubameyang has endured a miserable spell at Stamford Bridge following a deadline-day move from Barca last summer, and looks like a man that is done at the very highest level of the game
Aubameyang has also been strongly linked with a move away, although his options will be very limited this month having already played for two different clubs this season in Chelsea and Barcelona.
But Potter says the striker remains an ‘important’ member of the squad and that he will not be going anywhere this transfer window – he said: ‘Yes, he is here. He had a problem with his back after Manchester City. That’s why he was absent against Man City [in the FA Cup]. We just went for Kai [against Fulham].
‘Pierre is in our squad and he is important for us. I am pretty sure he can help us going forward.’

We are shocked to see that Potter wants to keep a player at the club that has done nothing since his arrival except take a nice big wage – it is kind of crazy right guys?
The Blues are having troubles scoring goals and many fans were hoping that would be solved this month – but with only a few weeks to go – it seems that most of the deals at Chelsea are done and another striker will not get signed – not a proven striker anyways.
