Powerhouse has agreed move – Defender WANTS to be a Chelsea player – Chelsea in talks for £300k-a-week star

Osimhen
Premier League bound?

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –

Chelsea are reportedly set to reengage in talks with Napoli around the potential deal for striker Victor Osimhen this summer.

Osimhen is a player that CHELSEA have been linked with for the last few windows – but have a real chance of finally getting a potential deal done this summer, if they pay the right amount of money.

Napoli are open to selling Osimhen – the striker has admitted he wants to leave and the premier League is somewhere he would like to be playing – Which is why Chelsea have been tipped to secure a transfer deal.

However – his £111 million asking price has stopped most clubs from making a move for the striker – which has led to alot of rumours that a move to Saudi Arabia is now on the agenda for the big man.

But according to CaughtOffside, the Blues are hoping to make progress in negotiations for the Nigerian international with Romelu Lukaku and Cesare Casadei likely to be on offer in a player + cash deal on the cards.

Osimhen has been a long-term target of Chelsea’s and if they can secure his services this summer, it’d be a huge boost to their attacking threat under Enzo Maresca this season.

There has been alot said about the future of Osimhen – there has been alot of speculatipn surrounding his future – But if CHELSEA wanted to send a real statement of intent to the rest of the Premier League – they would make sure that Osimhen is signed.

The Blues have been doing alot of business over the past few weeks – but they have not signed players that are already proven at the very top of the game and that are ready to make an immediate impact.

LUKAKU AGREES MOVE –

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has agreed a three-year deal with Napoli that is set to see him leave the Blues for good.

The CHELSEA man looks set to move away from Stamford Bridge in the current transfer window, having spent last season on loan at AS Roma, as the Blues are seemingly keen to cash in on the big Belgian star.

That has led to alot of transfer speculation in the media which has claimed that a few clubs from Saudi Arabia are very much interested in trying to get a deal done for the big man – and he would be open to the idea of a big money move there.

However – according to Italian reports, Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has agreed a three-year deal with Napoli that is set to see him leave the Blues for good.

After a staggering £97.5m move from Inter Milan back in 2021, the belgian international fell out-of-favour with then-manager Thomas Tuchel after claiming in an interview with Sky that he wanted to return to Italy after just four months back in west London.

The reports add that now the Blues may see the back of him once and for all as they’ve been meaning to offload him for a number of windows

Reporter Iomie Stanley told icfootballnews that Lukaku is done at Chelsea: ‘Lukaku had everything to be a world class striker for Chelsea – but he just couldnt handle the Premier League – it was the right decision to move back to Italy.

‘His time at CHELSEA is over and we fully expected him to stay in Italian football – if clubs are able to meet Chelsea’s massive asking price and his £300,000-a-week wages.

‘If the reports are true and he is heading to Napoli – it is a very good move for the big man to make.’

CHALOBAH WANTS CHELSEA –

Defender Trevoh Chalobah has rejected or stalled on a number of clubs trying to sign him because he doesn’t want to leave Chelsea, according to journalist Simon Phillips.

CHELSEA were one of the most active sides in the transfer window over the past few years and managed to bring in a whole load of players that the board feel will help drive the club forward over the next couple of seasons.

However – there were also a number of players that the club no longer wanted to keep hold of and Chalobah was on the chopping board at Stamford Bridge.

The defender turned down a move to Nottingham Forest last summer after the Reds saw a £25 million offer accepted by Chelsea – but there has been alot of speculation and rumours that a number of other clubs are interested in signing the defender.

But with the arrival of Tosin Adarabioyo this summer, it’s believed the 25-year-old could still see a departure from Stamford Bridge although it’s claimed he’d rather not go.

On his Substack, Phillips wrote:

‘SPTC sources understand that Chalobah has received approaches from a handful of clubs already this summer, but he has either turned approaches down, or he has stalled on them. And this is because he either hasn’t been interested in said club, and/or he doesn’t even want to leave Chelsea.’

It has been easy to see why Chalobah made the decision to stay at CHELSEA and fight for his place, but he really should have left the club in the summer window, and needs to get out now.

If Chelsea does not want him to stay and he is trying to see the summer out – it is not the best thing for his career – as we said – he will struggle to get the game time that he needs at this stage of his career.
