CHELSEA have been doing alot of transfer business already this summer – with some high-profile players leaving the club and a few big names making the move to Stamford Bridge.

But their transfer business is not done and it widely expected that a new centre-forward will make the move to London – especially as the club really struggled to score goals on a weekly basis last season.

And Dusan Vlahovic – who only moved to Juventus last summer – is a player that has been heavily tipped to leave the Italians this summer after they missed out on Champions League football.

However – his salary demands seem to be too high for the Blues and now it looks like they are now interested in signing the exciting Wahi this summer transfer window.

Now – ahead of his potential arrival to the club – Der Zakarian confirmed the new arrival to the club, which signals the replacement for Wahi.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

He said: “He will be in Montpellier on Monday evening and in the group to face Le Havre.

“It’s a different profile from what we have here. He’s tall, strong, powerful. He has already played 14 matches in Norway, so he is ready.”

The news comes after The French sides President has opened up and told Chelsea to up their offer for Wahi if they want to get a deal done.

Speaking to RMC Sport, Laurent Nicollin said: “There are proposals but we are waiting for more proposals for Elye Wahi. It’s true that we have only had one official offer for the moment, from Chelsea, Monday or last Tuesday.

‘We replied that we thanked them but that it was not a proposal that corresponded to us, so we are waiting.”

COULD HE BE A GOOD SIGNING?

Wahi was very impressive last season and it is very easy to see why all the big clubs are interested in a potential transfer deal – he is a player that CHELSEA will need to be patient with.

MAATSEN WANTED – 

Mauricio Pochettino has told Ian Maatsen that he wants him to stay at CHELSEA this season, which could open the door for Marc Cucurella to leave the club, according to the Evening Standard.

Maatsen is a lad that Pochettino has used this summer window in preparation for the new Premier League season, which starts just next week.

There has been alot of interest in the Dutchman this summer, with the likes of West Ham and Newcastle United just two clubs that are reportedly interested in a deal for the defender.

However – contract renewal talks have begun having impressed throughout the club’s pre-season tour of the United States. Earlier in the window, the Dutchman outlined his ambitions to stay at Chelsea and he now looks set to compete with Chilwell next season.

And that may mean that Marc Cucurella is a man that could leave the club, according to the report.

The Spanish star has really struggled to live upto the hype that surrounded him when he made the move to Stamford Bridge and with Maatsen and Chilwell ahead of him in the pecking order – the right offer could get a deal done

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

Pochettino’s decision to keep hold of Maatsen means Marc Cucurella could be sold this summer. Recently, Pochettino hinted that the former Brighton man could leave. “At the moment he [Cucurella] is okay, he is good,” the CHELSEA boss said.

“All of the players start from zero. It’s about competing. We have him and Chilly also, and they need to compete for this position. Of course Ian, and Lewis, we have four players that play the same position.

“That is the balance we were talking about before. We need to add players as maybe in another position we miss some players and in that position we have four and sometimes the squad is unbalanced.

‘We need to build a balanced squad to have the possibility to compete for a position but not have players who are going to be the third or fourth option to play and it is going to be impossible for one position, for four players to play for one place.”

LUKAKU WANTS OUT – 

Fans have been told that Romelu Lukaku wants to leave Chelsea this transfer window, and the club want him gone.

The 30-year-old striker re-joined CHELSEA in 2021 for a then club record £97.5million deal from Inter Milan after a stunning season with the Italians in which he broke the 30-goal barrier.

However – despite all the hype surrounding his move back to Stamford Bridge – it did not work out like many had hoped for and after just one season at the club – he was ultimately loaned back to the Italian giants.

Now Lukaku wants to leave the club permanently, and the Blues are very keen to make sure that he is sold this transfer widnow.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

Journalist Paul Brown has claimed there’s no disagreement, Lukaku wants to leave Chelsea and Chelsea don’t want Lukaku.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, he said: “If Lukaku goes the other way and outscores Vlahovic and wins more things, you’d be thinking why didn’t it work for him at Chelsea? I think the questions would come up again.

“Only time will tell who might get the best deal out of that one, but Lukaku wants to go. The club want to see him out as well, so any deal they can do to facilitate that has got to be a positive, surely.”
