Powerhouse tells Arsenal he’ll be ready for move – star TO LEAVE Arsenal – £50M Arsenal target close to move

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

It seems that Arsenal may be in a battle to land one of the clubs top transfer targets this summer window.

Mikel Arteta is a man that knows he needs to splash a bit more cash on his squad and add some players to the side that will take them to another level – as they seek to finally win back that Premier League title.

Douglas is a player that ARSENAL have wanted in the past, he is a player that the Spanish boss would love to have in his squad this summer, and is a player that is seemingly leaving Aston Villa in the coming weeks.

However – it seems that a move to Seria A giants Juventus is on the cards for the Brazilian midfielder – as reporter Fabrizio Romano has opened up and claimed that a deal to take the Villa ace to Juve is closer than ever.

Fabrizio Romano said: “Let’s mention this one. The Here We Go for Douglas Luiz to Juventus is closer than ever.

“We are not there yet, and now we will explain why, but it’s closer than ever, because what we can say tonight is that Juventus and Douglas Luiz have completed the agreement on personal terms.

“So, after the agreement almost reached between the clubs – Juventus and Aston Villa – now Douglas Luiz and his agent Kia Joorabchian have given the green light to Juventus.

“So, the contract is ready, the salary is ready, everything is OK between Juventus and Douglas Luiz.”

ARSENAL really wanted the player in January and they have been keeping a very close eye on him, but if that board really wanted to get a deal done – they would have by now.

Arsenal have money to spend on whatever players they wants – so the news that he is heading to Juventus may be a surprise – But not a 100 per cent shock.

SMITH ROWE TO LEAVE –

Arsenal are reportedly willing to sell Emile Smith Rowe for £30 million if they were to receive such an offer for the 23-year-old.

A couple of seasons ago – Smith Rowe was a member of the squad that Mikel Arteta loved to play on a weekly basis – but a series of injuries and some big signings by ARSENAL FC means that he is no longer part of the side.

That led to many reports in the media that West Ham and Chelsea are interested in a potential deal for the man over the summer – And the Hammers even contacted the Gunners over a potential deal for the player.

But despite all the rumours and despite all the transfer speculation – the decision was made by the Gunners to keep hold of Smith-Rowe and the player seemed happy enough to stay and fight for his place in the side.

However – he has once again struggled to get any real minutes in the side last season and there has been some reports in the media which have suggested that he could leave the club for a fee of £30 million

It comes as Arsenal are likely to begin offloading a number of players they see as potential funders for this upcoming season’s title challenge.

Reporter Dean Jones recently claimed that Arsenal will need to offload a number of players to keep on evolving – he recently told GMS:

“He would be a good signing for Fulham and is one of the players that is likely to leave ARSENAL this summer, but there is no way that you would be able to sign a player like that without some sort of competition and I have heard that Crystal Palace might be interested too.

“He’s a very good player, technically smart, and I think because of his injury lay-offs it has been forgotten just how good he really is. But obviously, Arsenal are at a stage where they have to keep evolving.

“In terms of value, he’s a tricky one to gauge because he is easily a £40million player, but because of his lack of game time, that figure might be hard to hit.

“Arsenal could certainly hope for £35million, but I think we might be looking at £30million as a starting point when offers are landing.”

TONEY WILL BE READY FRO BIG MOVE –

Chelsea linked Ivan Toney has admitted he will be ready if a big club comes calling for him this summer.

The transfer window is no officially open and it will give the likes of ARSENAL a massive chance to start getting some deals done that will send a statement to the rest of the Premier League for boss Mikel Arteta.

The Brentford talisman was strongly linked with a move to Arsenal in January, though a move for the England international failed to materialise, as he wanted to stay at Brentford and get back to his best after spending so much time out of the game.

However – There remains a strong possibility the ex-Peterborough United stat will be sold this transfer window, offering the Gunners a possible second chance at a deal, which would likely cost them £60 million to wrap up.

Discussing the prospect of joining a top side this summer, Toney told talkSPORT: “Obviously, if it was to come, I would be ready regardless. But I’ve got to remain focused and not let other things and other noise get the best of me and just focus on what I need to do for my club.”

When Ivan Toney returned to action in the middle of that January window – many were expecting him to bang in the goals – but he really struggled in the final few months of the Premier League season.

ARSENAL know that signing Toney would bring a different aspect to that attack for the side – he is the type of player that could make a real difference, and because he did not score too many goals last season, they could get him for a bargain.

If the Gunners could get the player for the right price – he could be a brilliant signing for the Gunners.
