Premier League boss tells chasing Liverpool ‘big fee’ will get deal done for 13-goal star
Thomas Frank is confident any suitor for LIVERPOOL and Chelsea target Bryan Mbeumo would be put off by the asking price he predicts would be required to secure the Brentford winger’s services.
The January transfer window has been open for a few weeks now, it will give the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool an opportunity to delve into that transfer kitty and sign players that will add some depth to the side as they all have long seasons ahead of them.
Mbeumo has been in sensational form for Brentford this season, He has scored 13 goals thus far this term but he has a contract until 2026, but has been tipped to make that move and step up in the game.
However – amid the speculation and rumours, Frank has ruled out the prospect of a mid-season departure and claimed that it would take a big fee for the striker to leave this transfer window – asked if it will be a challenge to keep hold of Mbeumo, Brentford head coach Frank emphatically replied: “Nope.
“It would be that big a fee (to tempt a deal) that I can’t imagine the size of the fee.”

Even though there will be alot of transfer rumours over the next few weeks, we are pretty sure that Mbeumo will not leave Brentford this January window and will stay until the summer window.
He has having a great season that could get messed up if he leaves, especially as he will no longer be a regular starter like he is at Brentford.
Liverpool will surely add to the squad at some point over the next few weeks, but right now, adding a new striker is not something tat Arne Slot is too worried about considering the amount of talent that he already has at the club
