Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal transfer news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Lille might just have given Arsenal the chance to to try and sign striker Jonathan David this summer window.

The Canadian forward has emerged as a potential transfer target for ARSENAL over the past few months, as the Gunners will be desperate to add a new striker to that attack when the summer transfer window opens up.

Ivan Toney of Brentford and Victor Osimhen of Napoli are two other players that the Gunners are interested in – but David would represent a cheaper alternative to the other two as his valuations is only about £50 million.

And Lille now admit they are preparing for the 24-year-old to leave, as Club president Olivier Letang has admitted that the striker is free to leave this transfer window, alongside defender Leny Yoro, who is also linked with a move to United.

He said: “Leny Yoro and Jonathan David can leave the club this summer. Both have the ‘exit voucher’ due to their contract situation”

David recently provided an update on his future during his latest interview with French media lavoixdunord.

“I have a year left in my contract and frankly, I am not thinking about it. There were rumours in the past, but I will stay at Lille until I sign for another club,” said the Canadian striker.

His contract with Lille runs out in June 2025 but the striker is not aware of negotiations between his agent and the club.

“I don’t know if the club has spoken to my agent,” he said.

“Surely we’ll do it at the end of the season. There are important games remaining, and I want to focus on the pitch.”

ARSENAL will need to make sure that they sign players that can make an immediate impact – big named players that will send a message to the rest of the Premier League – David is very good – but is he better than Gabriel Jesus of Eddie Nketiah?

PARTEY TIPPED FOR MOVE –

Thomas Partey is tipped to swap Arsenal for Saudi Arabia after the Gunners reportedly made the decision to allow him to leave this transfer window.

Partey’s current deal is due to expire in 2025 and discussions over a possible extension at the Emirates are yet to take place as there is alot of speculation about his future in the media.

The Ghana international has been limited in his starts for the club this season because of injury, and there were mane reports that Arsenal must decide whether to cash in on the player at the end of the season or risk losing him on a free transfer in just over a year’s time.

Now the the Sun website has claimed that ARSENAL have made the decision that they will allow the midfielder to leave this summer transfer window rather than letting him depart the club at the end of his contract.

And Saudi Arabia currently appears the likeliest destination

Arsenal, meanwhile, are certain to be in the market for a new centre midfielder, capable of playing in the No.6 role, which would free Declan Rice up to operate in a more advanced position.

When Partey is fit – he is a very solid addition to that squad – but he is never fit anymore and the Gunners need to get rid.

If the right offer arrives in the summer ARSENAL FC should take it – and use those funds to add a striker to the attack as they will need to keep on improving that squad if they are to overtake Man City for that Premier League title.

And if the reports are true – some fans will be disappointed with the news as the midfielder can be brilliant for the side when he is 100 per cent fit.

TONEY WILL COST £60 MILLION TO SIGN –

The likes of Arsenal have been told that £60 million will be enough to sign Ivan Toney this summer.

Arsenal spent some serious money in the Summer transfer window and acquired players that have really made an impact on the side – and they will be looking to improve over the summer window

The club do really have a striker that has the ability to score 20, 30 or even 40 goals a season and there is alot of speculation that the Gunners are keen to add another striker to the side in the summer window.

And that has led to some reports in the media that Arsenal will be interested in a £50 million move to try and sign Ivan Toney from Brentford – who is regarded as one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

The new fee, however, still represents a significant outlay, with talkSPORT reporting that £60m will be required to convince Brentford to sell.

Toney will have a further chance to put himself in the shop window after being selected in England manager Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad for Euro 2024.

Amid the speculation Michael Owen says Arsenal must ‘avoid’ becoming ‘desperate’ in this summer’s transfer window and suggested Ivan Toney could be an expensive mistake.

‘The hard thing for Arsenal, at the moment, is not to be desperate for it. It has to be the right person,’ Owen recently told Premier League Productions.

‘You don’t want to be wasting £70, 80 or £100 million on someone that isn’t quite there because of desperation. [Erling] Haaland became available [for Manchester City] and they said, “right, we can’t afford to miss this”.

‘Whereas, at the moment, can you get some of the players that would be good for ARSENAL? Arguably… Then you look at players on that lower rung that you could get and I would avoid that.

‘Arsenal are doing fine as they are so I would avoid that, it’s only if that real top one becomes available that’s going to make the big difference.

‘Don’t be desperate. Bide your time. When you are ready to pounce, just don’t miss and go and get the best.

‘Someone like Ivan Toney at Brentford, he is going to be available this summer.

‘But do you get somebody like that when there are question marks? Is he going to be able to up his game? Has he got the class to come off and do all the things?

‘You need the personality. You need all of those things. There will be players out there that are very good and people will be telling Arsenal to get them.

‘Ivan Toney might be the answer, don’t get me wrong. All I’m saying is there will be players desperate to walk to ARSENAL now and they will become available.

‘But I would bide my time and wait for the right person. If he’s not available now, but next year, then fine. But don’t waste your bullets.’
