Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly pulled out of the transfer race to sign Sporting CP sensation Viktor Gyokeres, which will have given a boost to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, who are all chasing the big striker.

Gyokeres has once again been in tremendous form for Sporting Lisbon this season and already has 23 goals to his name, with four of those coming in the Champions League against Defending champions Manchester City.

He has been heavily tipped with a move to the Premier League, with many believing that he could follow Ruben Amorim to Man United, while it has been claimed that Arsenal are very much interested as they seek to add a 30 goals a season striker to their attack.

However, according to recent reports, Manchester United are prepared to pay up to £75m for the striker in January, and they go on to say that the idea would be for him to not actually join up with the squad until the end of the season.

Now the Red Devils have been handed a transfer boost, as Per Foot Mercato, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly pulled out of the transfer race to sign Sporting CP sensation Viktor Gyokeres.

The report says that the Ligue 1 champions were at one point keen on signing the striker and their sporting director Luis Campos reportedly contacted the player’s representatives to get ahead in the title race.

However, once Campos came back to Paris and got in touch with manager Luis Enrique, the Spanish coach rejected the idea of signing the striker.

When Gyokeres decides to leave Lisbon and make that next step in his career, it seems that he will have a few clubs to choose from and the decision will come down to him, and or course, money.

PSG are massive spenders, so if the reports are true and they have pulled out of the race, it will be great news for chasing clubs that is for sure.
