PSV fear their star forward and Liverpool target Cody Gakpo will depart in the January transfer window

Man United – along with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool were just there three clubs most linked with a transfer move – but despite all the hype and all the speculation – he stayed at PSV.

However – he is widely tipped to leave the Dutch giants in the next couple of transfer windows – and there is all sorts of speculation about his future and where he could end up.

The 23-year-old has nine goals and 17 assists in 13 league outings and has been named Eredivisie Player of the Month for September and October.

He has already netted for the Dutch at the World Cup – with his header late in the game against Senegal giving his side a vital three points.

A recent report from Italian outlet Calciomercato, Liverpool have made contact with the Dutch outfit over a potential transfer deal for Gakpo.

The report also adds that the Premier League giants have been informed that the prolific attacker it would cost €45-€50 million to sign him in January after the Dutchman’s sensational start to the current season.

Now – according to the Dutch giants fear that Gakpo will leave in January and the reports add that PSV will up their asking price after the World Cup.
