Sorry Arsenal and Liverpool! Hazard replacement Pulisic confirms ‘privilege’ to sign for Chelsea

Christian Pulisic has admitted he is looking forward to officially signing for Chelsea at the end of the season.

The 20-year old American is regarded as one of the finest talents in the game, and has been an integral figure for Dortmund over the seasons, making 114 appearances for the German side.

But with the emergence of Jadon Sancho, Dortmund decided there were ready to let the American leave and sign for Chelsea in a deal which will cost the club £56.7 million.

However, as part of the deal he will be loaned back to Dortmund until the end of the season.

Pulisic told Sky Sports: “In summer of 2019, I move on to Chelsea and to a new competition, the English Premier League.!

“It’s a privilege to have signed for such a legendary club and I look forward to working hard towards being a contributor to their team of world class players.

“[I’m] looking forward to working with Maurizio Sarri and his technical team. But for six months, it’s all BVB!

“Please do not doubt my passion, determination and my 110 per cent commitment to the team right until the last ball is kicked this season.”

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia added: “We are delighted to have signed one of Europe’s most sought-after young players.

“Christian has shown his quality during a fantastic spell in Germany and at just 20, we believe he has the potential to become an important Chelsea player for many years to come.

“We look forward to welcoming him to Stamford Bridge in the summer and wish him and Dortmund every success for the remainder of the season.”

Chelsea have pulled off a great bit of business.

Arsenal and Liverpool will be devestated to hear that Pulisic is signing for Chelsea, as they were also keen on a deal at the end of the season after hearing he wanted out of Dortmund.

The lad is world class and Chelsea have done some great business sealing this deal.
