Chelsea news: £54M star ‘is on the verge’ of completing move – personal terms and fee agreed

Christian Pulisic is on the verge of leaving Chelsea with his transfer to AC Milan at the ‘final stages’, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
CHELSEA now face the prospect of trimming Mauricio Pochettino’s squad ahead of next season and Pulisic is among the players who have been linked with a move away this summer.
The American star was hailed as the next big thing during his time with Borussia Dortmund – but it has not worked out for him at Chelsea and he is now being linked with a move away.
The USA star scored 11 goals in his first season at Chelsea but his contributions have gradually fallen away since then, with Pulisic starting just eight league games last term.
With Chelsea set on trimming their bloated squad this summer, Pulisic is among the clutch of players tipped to move on with Lyon making him a ‘priority signing’ and have approached the player about moving to France.
However – it now seems that a move to Italian football is on the cards for the American.
AC Milan have since returned with an improved bid which has resulted in the move advancing quickly.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Romano Tweeted: ‘AC Milan and Chelsea are advancing to final stages of negotiations for Christian Pulisic after €22m package bid sent in yesterday. 🔴⚫️🇺🇸 #ACMilan
‘Deal structure being discussed, it’s not done yet but definitely getting closer.
‘Pulisic has been clear with #CFC: he wants Milan
WILL THIS BE A GOOD MOVE FOR PULISIC?
There is no doubt that Pulisic has alot of talent – but he simply is not a CHELSEA player and cannot get his best football at Stamford Bridge.
It would be the right decision to move on. Milan are still a massive club and the fact Seria A is a bit slower than the Premier League – it is a very good move for the American
