Listening Real Madrid? Purslow has big Klopp transfer warning which leaves Liverpool fans smiling
Christian Purslow has claimed Jurgen Klopp will not be tempted to leave Liverpool and sign for Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer.
After Zinedine Zidane shocked the world and announced he was leaving Madrid a week after guiding them to a third Champions League title, speculation has been going crazy for the next Real boss.
And one name which has been mentioned is that of Klopp, who has turned Liverpool into one of the best sides in Europe and is one of a handful of world class managers that could manage Madrid.
However, Purslow cannot see the German walking away from Anfield.
“The key difference I think for the last five, 10, 15, 20 years, is the sheer amount of wealth in the Premier League means there’s no economic reason for those managers to move to Real Madrid,” the former Liverpool managing director said on the Sky Sports website.
“It boils down to prestige, trophies and where they see the potential of their current situation.”
“There is no way I think Jurgen Klopp is going to be tempted to move given the season he’s just come off.”
Klopp is building a real dynasty with Liverpool right now and has already started his transfer business with the signing of Fabinho from Monaco.
He is excited about the prospect of guiding Liverpool back to glory and leaving the club has not even crossed his mind, even if the lure of managing Madrid is hard to turn down for most managers.
