Quality with £84% winning record makes statement ahead of possible Chelsea appointment

There has been some developments in the Blues chase to hire a new manager as Francesco Farioli has ruled out leaving Porto during the season after being linked with the Chelsea job.

CHELSEA were considering making a change because of poor recent results, comments made by Maresca in the media, disagreements with the club’s medical department and reports linking their head coach with other clubs.

Chelsea announced in a New Year’s Day statement that they had parted company with the Italian manager, with reports claiming Maresca had several disagreements with the Chelsea medical department about the fitness and availability of players during his time at the club

It is no secret that Strasbourg boss Liam Rosenior is the favourite to take over at CHELSEA in the coming days, but it has also been claimed that Farioli is a boss that the Blues board have spoken with, but his decision has been madeabout moving to Chelsea.

Is Farioli keen on a move to Stamford Bridge?

Farioli has an impressive winning record as Porto boss, he has won over 80 per cent of his games, but it has been claimed that he not currently keen on moving to the Premier League, and particularly to Chelsea’s current project.

In his press conference ahead of Porto’s league trip to Santa Clara on Sunday, head coach Farioli said: “There is no doubt [I am staying], never been a doubt in fact.

“If I go back to my previous experiences, at Nice and last season in Ajax, for me it has never been a topic to leave in the middle of the season. It is not something that stays in my mind.

“And, here in Porto, I do believe that there is also, in terms of connection and relationship with the president, with the club, something more and something deeper.

“So, from my side, I am totally committed to the club, totally connected to the reality we are in.”

There will be alot of speculation and rumourd about the next boss to arrive at CHELSEA, it will probably be Rosenior, as there are plenty of coaches that will turn down a move to Stamford Bridge because of the owners.

Chelsea have made this decision to let Enzo Maresca to leave, he wasnt doing a bad job, every boss has some bad results, now the Blues have to make sure that they hire someone that could get the players playing their best.
