Long-term Chelsea target speaks out on future – free to hold talks in January

Long-term Chelsea target Adrien Rabiot has admitted that he is happy at Juventus, but has not ruled out a move away from the club.

Despite being one of the most gifted central midfielders in the game – Rabiot has never really adapted to Italian football like many had hoped – and there were many reports tat Juventus were keen to get him off the books in the summer.

That led to alot of speculation and rumours in the media that the likes of CHELSEA, Man United and Newcastle could all be interested in a potential deal for the Frenchman, but despite all the talk, he agreed to stay put and sign a new 12 month contract.

Everything is going well for the 28-year-old at the moment; he has started each of Juve’s eight Serie A games thus far this season and was in the starting XI for France when they defeated the Netherlands on Friday

However – the Frenchman has now come out and failed to rule out a potential exit from the Italian giants in the future.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

Rabiot told French outlet Telefoot: “This is a club where I am happy and we are having a very good season. Staying at a team I knew very well, in the season going into the European Championship, seemed the best option.”

“The club has faith in me. We’ll see later on about a renewal but, in any case, I am very happy with my situation at the club and in the France squad.”

Rabiot is a world class player that would add some experience to that CHELSEA squad, but despite their interest in the summer, he does not fit the criteria that the board are looking for right now.

It is a shame that he did not come to the Premier League in the summer, but it will be interesting to see what he does when his current deal runs out at the end of the season.
