World Cup winner addresses rumours he is heading to Newcastle
Adrien Rabiot has responded to rumours that he could be set for a shock move to Newcastle United in the January transfer window
The January transfer window is just a few weeks away and there is alot of speculation in the media about the type of players that the Toon could acquire in the January window.
Eddie Howe is a man that knows he needs to add some serious quality to that squad in order to stay in the Premier League, and now that the club are the richest in the world, big things are expected.
And It was reported earlier this week that Rabiot could be one of the first signings of the post-takeover era, with reports suggesting that Juventus may be open to the idea of letting him leave for the right price
Juventus landed him on a free transfer, so they would still be making a good profit on him if the Toon were able to get a £13 million deal done, but it seems the player might not be as keen to depart, as the club are to see him move on.
When asked about his current situation by TF1, amid interest from Newcastle, Rabiot said (via Express): “I’m happy in Turin. I see my future at Juventus, of course!”
Rabiot is a brilliant player who has a great passing range and the ability to glide through the lines. Newcastle lack a player that can do both of these things really well.
He has not had the best time of it during his stay at Juventus, but a move to Newcastle may be one that could turn him into a top tier midfielder
