£60m man will be great signing for Man United, Ramos sends message after Madrid exit, Bundesliga star wants Premier League move and United urged to sign world class Spaniard

Ramos leaves Madrid, Man United told Varane would be great signing, Coman wants Premier League move and Man United urged to sign Ramos in Manchester United roundup…

Sergio Ramos has admitted he does not know where his next club will be, amid speculation that Manchester United are interested.

Ramos leaves behind an incredible legacy in Madrid, the 35-year-old having won five La Liga titles, two Copas del Rey, four Supercopas de Espana, four Champions Leagues, three UEFA Super Cups and four Club World Cups.

United are reportedly ready to try and bring him to the Premier League, to add a bit more quality to that back-line and are reportedly ready to offer him a contract to bring him to the Premier League

Now, Ramos has admitted that he does not know his next destination, and has said that he intended to accept Real Madrid’s offer of a one-year extension but was told that he had run out of time to accept it

Speaking at a press conference, Ramos said: “ The first thing I want to say is that I never wanted to leave. I wanted to stay here. The club offered me the possibility of extending my contract, but because of covid it was put on the back burner.

“Then club made me a one-year offer with a salary reduction. I have to say that there was no economic problem. I wanted two years and peace of mind for me and my family.

“During the last talks, I accepted the one-year offer, but I was informed that it was no longer possible, that it had an expiration date and that I had not heard about it.”

He added on the specifics of the contract: The conditions have changed several times, on their part and on ours.

“It got to a point where we had to make a decision but they never told me that the offer had an expiry date. It’s understandable but it surprised me, that the offer had expired.”

Would United fans welcome the player?

Kingsley Coman is keen on a move to the Premier League after becoming increasingly unsettled at Bayern Munich, which has alerted the likes of Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will look to add a bit more quality to his squad in the transfer window as there has been some reports in the media that the board will give the Red Devils boos some money to spend this summer.

And that has led to some reports in the media that United are very much interested in trying to secure the services of Coman from Bayern Munich by the end of the transfer window.

Coman still has two years left to run on his Bayern contract but negotiations over a new one have stalled, prompting transfer rumours and it seems the German club would entertain offers.

The 24-year-old winger contributed eight goals and 12 assists in 39 appearances for Bayern last season as Coman added another Bundesliga title to his trophy collection

Feeling underappreciated in Bavaria, the English top-flight is said to be Coman’s preferred destination, according to the Sky Sports website.

Coman’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has begun testing the waters in England to gauge possible interest in his client, with reports claiming he wants a yearly wage of £13.7-14.6million (€16-17m)

Look, we are massive fans of Coman and believe he does have the quality to make an impact in the Premier League, especially after another impressive season in the Bundesliga.

If he does leave Bayern in the transfer window, it will be interesting to see where he ends up, but he would be welcome in the Premier League

But if United are keen to win back that title, he is the type of player that should be looking to sign guys

Jamie O’Hara reckons Sergio Ramos would be an ‘ideal’ signing for Manchester United this summer window.

After finishing the season in second place and failing to win that Europa League title, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will need to delve into that transfer kitty and add a bit more quality to that back-line.

The legendary defender is leaving Real Madrid this summer, the LaLiga giants announced on Wednesday after he failed to agree a new contract with the club, and that means that clubs around Europe will be free to try and get a deal done

Ramos leaves behind an incredible legacy in Madrid, the 35-year-old having won five La Liga titles, two Copas del Rey, four Supercopas de Espana, four Champions Leagues, three UEFA Super Cups and four Club World Cups.

And O’Hara believes the 35-year-old could have a similar effect to the one Thiago Silva has had at Chelsea, with the Brazilian helping the Blues triumph in the Champions League last term.

“If I’m Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, I’m doing everything in my power to get him to the football club – even if it’s for one season,” O’Hara said on this morning’s talkSPORT Breakfast.

“He is a world class centre-half, amazing player. He’s what I think they need. Yes, he’s 35, but he’s as fit as a fiddle.

“I know he had a few injuries last season but what a player to try and get to your club.

“He’s won it all and done everything. I think he could be great for Man United, I really do.”

Despite the fact he is coming towards the end of the his career, he still has a good few years left at the very top of the game

Sol Campbell believes Real Madrid star Raphael Varane would be a great signing for Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to be handed a massive transfer budget in the summer to add a world class defender and striker to the attack, and the United have been linked with a move for Varane.

Varane has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer with reports that Real Madrid are willing to cash in to help raise some funds to nail down their top transfer targets

The defender is part of the France squad at the Euros but that has not stopped speculation that Madrid are looking to cash in on the Frenchman and get around £60 million in order to sign players they need.

Now, amid the speculation, Campbell has opened up and claimed that Varane would be a great signing for United this transfer window, he Tweeted: “France haven’t broken sweat yet.

“Varane, there’s shouts of him going to Man United, he’d be a really good buy.”

Quizzed on the speculation he is generating after linking up with the France squad for Euro 2020 duty, Varane recently told reporters: “This is not the time to talk about my future, I am focused on the selection, on this Euro, it is normal and logical to ask the question and for my part it is normal and logical to focus on the upcoming deadlines.

“We are all human beings. We can think about it. As for my personal case, I am focused on the objectives that we have in the France team, it is not a subject that I will discuss every day in my room at Clairefontaine.

“I am focused on my goal, and now is not the time to discuss it. If I have to talk about it, it will be directly with the people concerned.”
