£40M star responds to reports he has agreed to join Newcastle

Aaron Ramsdale has responded to reports that he has agreed a summer move to Newcastle United.

Many fans were left speechless when news broke last summer that Arsenal were going to sign David Raya on a loan deal until the end of the season, especially after Aaron Ramsdale really impressed in that Gunners shirt last season, but he has been impressive since his move to the Emirates.

After Another impressive season for Arsenal – the Gunners are the best defensively sound side in the Premier League and that has helped Raya pick up his first golden glove award.

The Spaniard sealed the honour with two games still to play this term after keeping his 16th clean sheet of the campaign, and the Gunners are expected to finalise the permanent transfer of David Raya, with a full agreement in place

The Football insider have claimed that Ramsdale knows that his days at Arsenal are up and will look to leave the club once the transfer window opens up – with a few clubs interested in the big man.

Sky Sports reporter James Green claimed yesterday that the Arsenal goalkeeper is on his way to Newcastle in the summer and that “a deal has been agreed”.
Green said: “I understand and I found out directly from the player’s agent that one of our players is off to Newcastle and a deal has been agreed.

“It’s my understanding that Aaron Ramsdale has agreed to join Newcastle in the summer.

“That’s come direct through speaking to somebody I’m very close with who is close with his agent and he says it’s done.

“The deal is happening.”

But Ramsdale seemed to dismiss the speculation on social media by tweeting: “News to me [laughing emoji].”

Ramsdale was know that his time at Arsenal is up and once that summer window opens up – there will be quite a few offers for him to leave the club , he is too good to be sitting on the bench.

A move to Newcastle would be a brilliant move for the man.
