Arsenal to complete signing in next 48HRS as Gunners star finalising Emirates exit

ARSENAL could complete the signing of David Raya within the next 48 hours with Matt Turner set to join Nottingham Forest, according to reports.

Turner only moved to the Emirates last summer to become Aaaron Ramsdale’s No.2, and though he kept four clean sheets in his seven appearances he was never going to usurp the England international inn the pecking order.

Ramsdale was one of the most impressive performances in that Arsenal side next season – and will surely be the number one heading into the next campaign – although he will have more of a challenge once Turner leaves

WHAT IS THE LATEST – 

According to the Daily Mail, Steve Cooper’s side will pay £7m for the USA international who has agreed personal terms, with the two clubs just needing to finalising the details of the transfer.

And once he departs the Emirates – the report goes on to say that David Raya will be making a move to the Emirates.

After the news broke just a few weeks ago that Brighton were very keen to get Raya off the books and sell – it is believed that the Spanish star has his heart set on moving to ARSENAL

WILL RAYA BE A GOOD SIGNING?

Raya proved himself to be one of the best stoppers in the Premier League last season – he really kept a number of clean-sheets and impressed with his performances.

He is not a man that will be happy sitting on the bench – so Ramsdale will need to stay top of his game – but if Arteta can keep both players happy and playing, then yes, he will be a very good signing for the club.

But as we said, Raya and Ramsdale are number one goalkeepers so Arteta will have his work cut out trying to make this work.
