Winger has ‘INFORMED’ Mikel Arteta he wants summer move – just a year after signing up with Arsenal
Arsenal ace Reiss Nelson has allegedly told the club he is considering leaving, just a year after penning a new long-term deal.
There had been some speculation that he could leave the club last summer in order to get some more game time – but the decision was made that he would stay put and agree a new contract
but according to The Athletic, Nelson’s time at the Emirates could be coming to an end as his game-time has been limited over the past season. After making just one Premier League start, the winger is now weighing-up his future.
And the 24-year-old has allegedly informed manager Mikel Arteta as well as club chiefs of his intention to “assess” his options before returning to pre-season. And the report adds that The Gunners will be looking for a transfer fee of around £20million for Nelson if both parties agree a move away is the best option.
Both Crystal Palace and West Ham want to keep the forward in London, while Nottingham Forest have also shown interest in bringing him to the City Ground.

Look, Arsenal signed him up to a new contract last summer and he must have really believed he would be given more game time under Mikel Arteta – but it is the right time to leave the club.
At this stage of his career he needs to be playing on a regular basis – not sitting on the bench every week and he will have his choice of clubs this transfer window.
Some ARSENAL fans will be sad to see him leave – but if he stays – his career will be going nowhere – even though he would be in one of the best sides in the Premier League.
