West Ham told £62k-a-week star certain to complete transfer move

Declan Rice’s departure from West Ham is all but certain and will signal a “massive decline” at the club – That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham
Over the past few seasons Declan Rice has developed into one of the best players at the club – and one of the most impressive midfielders that the Premier League has to offer.
He really is the leader at the Hammers and a man that they are hoping to keep at the club for as long as they are possibly too – but that has not stopped speculation regarding his long-term future at the club
But now Wenham has opened up and told the Hammers that they should brace for the departure of Rice – and the massive decline of the club when he officially departs.
“Without Rice, what identity do West Ham have?” Wenham told Football Insider
“For me, whatever you think about Mark Noble as a player, he gave West Ham a clear identity as a club. He was a supporter on the pitch and I see that in Declan Rice.
“They had Noble for over 10 years, to lose Rice at 23, it would be very disheartening for them. It would signal a massive decline in a club that reached the semi-final of the Europa League last season.
“I think he’s 100% leaving West Ham, a deal now is unlikely but in the summer, 100%.”

The Hammers are bigger than one player – but Rice really is a man they will miss.
The money they can get from the sale of Rice will be massive – and we are sure that they will buy an adequate replacement.
