Premier League star is “top of the list” signing for Liverpool in January

USMNT star Antonee Robinson is “top of the list” when it comes to January transfer targets at LIVERPOOL, claims Reds legend Jamie Carragher, as a possible replacement for Andrew Robertson is wanted by Arne Slot.

Robertson, who joined the Reds from Hull City in 2017 and was an integral part of the squad that won multiple trophies under Jurgen Klopp, has a contract at Anfield until 2026, but the club are preparing for his potential exit from Merseyside.

The Merseyside club have added a few names to their shortlist which includes Fulham’s Antonee Robinson and Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, and Alphonso Davies, with the Bayern Munich star a player that they could sign for free at the end of the season.

Now, amid all the speculation and rumours, Carragher has claimed that Robinson is the number one target for Liverpool – Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher said: “He was outstanding. He was the best player on the pitch. When you are going to Anfield and you are playing against Mo Salah – possibly the best player in the Premier League this season – and you come out of it with a Man of the Match award, that shows you how highly he is thought of.

‘Yes, I think Liverpool probably will be shopping for a left-back in January and I’m sure he will be top of the list.”

Robertson looks like a player that is on the decline, Robinson looks like a player that is ready to make that step up to a club like Liverpool and that is why he could probably be a very good signing for the Reds.

He needs to make the right choice about his next move, but LIVERPOOL could be a very good option for the man
