Declan Rice message sent, Chelsea close in on Rodriguez, Grealish message sent to Chelsea fc, Chelsea open Werner talks in news roundup…
Reports have claimed Chelsea are about to upset Liverpool after opening talks to sign Timo Werner in the summer.
Olivier Giroud has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past few months as he has shown his unhappiness at not being first choice at Stamford Bridge, with Frank Lampard even admitting that he could have let the Frenchman leave the club in the winter window, if he keeps pushing for an exit.
And German striker Werner, is rated as one of the hottest prospects in Europe, with reports in the media all suggesting that he is seeking that big move to further develop his name in the game, with a host of top clubs linked with a possible move.
The German is one of the top scorers in Europe this season with 26 goals in all competitions, and is tipped to become one of the most deadly strikers in the game, with many believing that Lampard is a massive fan of the talented young German and firmly believes he could add something to the side.
Chelsea failed to get their transfer business done in the January window but have already kicked off the summer window with the signing of Hakim Ziyech, who will officially arrive at Chelsea when the transfer window officially opens up.
Lampard needs to add a world class defender, a leader at the back, he also needs to add some superstardom to that midfield, a creative force, and he also needs to delve into that transfer kitty, spend some big money and acquire Timo Werner.
Reports in the media have suggested that Liverpool are leading the chase for Werner, and the German has even admitted that he is interested in a move to Anfield, but according to BILD, Chelsea have opened talks with the young man about a possible summer move to Stamford Bridge.
Gabriel Agbonlahor is hopeful that Jack Grealish will remain at Aston Villa next season, and warned the Chelsea target that the grass isnt always greener.
Now there has been alot of transfer speculation in the media about the long-term future of Grealish, who is now regarded as one of the finest talents in the Premier league, and who is also tipped for the very top of the game.
Chelsea fc are just one team that are reportedly ready to swoop in and offer Villa around £60 million to get a transfer deal done at the end of the season.
However, Agbonlahor believes Grealish will still be wearing claret and blue in the Premier League next term and has urged Villa’s owners – Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens – to turn their phones off in the summer transfer window.
‘I think he will [stay],’ the former Villa forward told the Claret & Blue podcast.
‘I know everyone’s 50/50 but I think he will because the club’s built around him.
‘Villa will stay up and the club will be built around him again. ‘He’s captain and he’s still posting photos of him at the academy when he started when he was six.
‘It’s similar to me, I had chances to leave but, when the club means that much to you, the grass isn’t always greener.
‘If I was the owner of Aston Villa at the moment, I’d just turn my phone off! If a player who’s so crucial to your team – like Jack is to Aston Villa – to get results, I’m not selling him.
‘Selling a player of Jack’s calibre’s going to cost you much more in the long run. You may get a lot for him but you’ve got to stay in the Premier League no matter what, that’s where the money’s at.
‘For me, I’m turning my phone off in the summer if I’m the Villa owner and, when the transfer window is over, I’d turn it back on so he can’t move. ‘That’s why I’d do. Fingers crossed he stays. It’s down to him.’
Fresh reports have claimed Chelsea could nail down the signature of James Rodriguez, as he is leaving Real Madrid in the summer.
Frank Lampard was not handed the kind of funds that he had hoped he would get during the January window and only managed to secure transfer deals for a couple of academy players, as it seemed that the hierarchy did not want to spend money in the winter window
And Lampard should now be focusing on trying to bring world class players to the side in the summer, with Rodriguez a great option for the club.
The Chelsea were linked with a loan move for Real Madrid midfielder Rodriguez during the January transfer window, but the LaLiga club were thought to have preferred a permanent deal rather than a short-term fix.
Since returning from his loan spell with Bayern Munich, Rodriguez has struggled to establish his place in the Madrid team, and he has made just seven starts all season and has only one goal and one assist to his name.
The 28-year-old could look to move elsewhere in the summer to revive his career, meaning that the Chelsea may be able to secure a bargain £34 million deal for the attacker when the transfer window opens up.
Now, According to Marca, the Bernabeu hierarchy have given strict orders for the club to sell before they buy due to the financial uncertainty surrounding the killer virus, and will let Rodriguez depart the club and seek pastures new.
Rodriguez, who back in 2014, won the Golden Boot at the World Cup as well as the Puskas Award, could be a real statement signing from Lampard that would hand Chelsea fans a real boost that the club are seeking to get back into the habit of winning big titles.
West Ham should DOUBLE Declan Rice’s wages in order to keep him out of Chelsea clutches, according to Hammers legend Tony Cottee.
The whole world may be gripped by the crazy outbreak of the coronavirus, and football may have been stopped because of the Virus itself, but there has still been alot of transfer speculation in the media about possible summer signings at Stamford Bridge.
Lampard is not fool, he knows that he needs to seriously improve this CHELSEA side over the next few transfer windows in order to get the club from top four chasers, to Premier League contenders, and he needs to add some fresh meat to the side.
Reports claims Lampard is on the hunt for a defensive midfielder this summer and has identified Rice as the ideal man to come in and possibly take over from Ngolo Kante in the long-run, who is arguably the best holding midfielder in the game.
Reports have claimed that Chelsea are ready to pay around £70 million to secure a deal for Rice, and offer him the kind of money that he has not been getting at the Hammers to move on.
However, Cottee has opened up and urged West Ham to offer the midfielder a double-his-wages offer to keep him away from the likes of Chelsea, Cottee told the We Are West Ham podcast: “There’s only two ways to keep Declan at our football club.
“That is to win a cup or to play in Europe. They are the only two ways to keep a young talented player like Declan at the club for the next two or three years.
“The problem is, your career goes so quickly and Dec needs to see the club making progress, he doesn’t want to be fighting a relegation battle every year.
“West Ham need to have a good cup run and be in the top ten.
“And the one other thing the club can do at this moment in time to protect Declan and to protect the club is to give him a new contract.”
Will he move on? We do not know, but we do know that success is on his mind and he needs to ask himself, will he really get that playing at the Hammers?
Chelsea have a proven record of winning trophies and can offer Declan Rice more than just money.
