Fabrizio Romano Confirms Mikel Arteta Is About To Extend His Arsenal Contract

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Mikel Arteta will be agreeing a new contract to extend his stay at Arsenal.

Since Mikel Arteta took the massive decision to take over at the Emirates after working under Pep Guardiola for so many years – he has turned this ARSENAL FC side into a real force.

They are one of the most attractive and entertaining sides to watch in the Premier League – they are now one of the main challengers for that title and are a side that could dominate for the next few years.

However – there has been alot of speculation in the media that Barcelona are very much interested in trying to get a deal done for the Spanish star but Romano dispelled these rumours: “Arteta never considered any discussion of talk with Barcelona, and not just with Barca; Arteta 100% focused and happy with Arsenal. So I think this is the best news for Arsenal fans.

The connection between Arteta, the director Edu, the owners, the players, the staff; everything is perfect. Really.

“This is a wonderful project; all the people that are involved are 100% involved for the present and future. Arteta is not even discussing with other clubs, was never close or in talks with Barcelona.”

Arteta is now a world class manager that will only get better – maybe one day he will take over at Barcelona – but for now he has so many tings that he would like to achieve at ARSENAL FC – so it would be a massive shock to see him leave.

He will surely get a new deal soon as he is one coach that could be at the club for a very long-time – especially with the squad that he is building.

The Gunners board just need to make sure that they give him the money and time he needs to get back into the habit of winning those big titles.
