Chelsea to make late Zaha bid – Fofana message sent – Blues offered Ronaldo in Chelsea news roundup –

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Rob Green feels Wesley Fofana will help unlock Reece James’ quality

Fofana joined Leicester in 2020 from Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne for a £36.5m fee and has played 52 games for the Foxes across all competitions, helping them win the 2020-21 FA Cup and signing a long-term contract in March until 2027.

Fofana has been one of the most talked about players of the transfer window and has been a player that Chelsea have made four offers for – with the latest the right price to get a transfer over the line

Fofana’s expected arrival will be a big boost to Thomas Tuchel’s side, who have endured a turbulent start to the season with two wins, a draw and a defeat from their first four games.

ANd after he agreed a six-year deal with the Blues – Former ChelseaFC ‘keeper Green feels that the arrival of Fofana will help get the best from current Blues defender James as it will allow him to get forward more often.

‘[Chelsea] are playing catch-up and have to pay the money,’ Green told the BBC. ‘They will get a great player. He immediately ticks the boxes and is also one of the future.

‘Reece James’ quality is on the ball. Wesley Fofana ticks a box for the centre-half position but also strengthens elsewhere as James can go forward.’

Meanwhile, Leicester legend Gary Lineker tweeted over the weekend: ‘Gutted to lose him but wish Wesley Fofana well.

‘Every player wants to play Champions League football so it’s understandable.

‘Chelsea fans, you’ve got the most prodigiously talented young central defender in the world. Yes, I believe he’s that good.’

Fofana is very talented – but this is a massive move for the lad to make and we believe that he is not quite ready to make the impact that £75 million says he will need too

This is a massive risk from ChelseaFC

Zaha move to be made –

Chelsea are to make a late offer to try and complete the signing of Crystal Palace star Wilfred Zaha

ChelseaFC were expected to make some big transfer signings this summer that would see a couple of defenders – a midfielder and a striker all make the move to Stamford Bridge

But despite all the speculation and all the rumours – Chelsea have only managed to secure big named signings of Marc Cucurella – Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly – which has improved the squad – but not enough

And that now means that ChelseaFC will need to delve into the transfer kitty over the remaining days of the transfer window and finally secure some transfer signings – and it has been claimed Tuchel has added Zaha to his shortlist

According to SUN, palace will not let him leave for free when his contract expires at the end of next season and are open to letting the attacker leave this summer for the right price

Zaha was valued at £80 million just a few seasons ago – but now – with his contract running out next summer – there could be a chance for Chelsea to seal a deal for the man for half that price

IcFootballnews View…

Zaha is always in the media about a possible move away from Palace – especially as he is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League

He should have left a couple of seasons ago, he has become a bit stale at Palace – and his performances have been too inconsistent.

But if ChelseaFC do make a move in the summer, they will need to get him for the right price

He has been brilliant in the Premier League and now would be the best time to get him – he is playing the best football of his career

So this would be a great opportunity for the player to join one of the big clubs – it is now time

Ronaldo offered –

Cristiano Ronaldo has been offered to Chelsea by super-agent Jorge Mendes, reports claim.

Ronaldo is a player that has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this summer after news broke that he would like to leave the Manchester giants – he wants to be playing in the Champions League

And that has led to reports all over the media that Chelsea are very much interested in trying to sign the Portuguese star – as Thomas Tuchel wants to add for fire-power to that attack

But no official move has been made – despite all the constant speculation – and rumours about a possible move has wavered in recent weeks – especially as the Blues are very keen to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona

But Metro say Mendes has now returned to Chelsea and offered them the chance to sign Ronaldo.

The Portuguese star still wants out of the club and Mendes knows that Tuchel is still desperate to add an out and out striker in the final days of the transfer window.

IcFootballnews View –

You can see why ChelseaFC could make a move for the player – but you can see why they wont make a move for Ronaldo

He is brilliant – but he comes with alot of baggage and a massive ego – and the way that Tuchel likes to play – he does not suit the style of play at Stamford Bridge

He would be demanding a wage of around the £500,000-a-week mark and that is alot to pay for a player that is right at the very end of his playing days

We would not be shocked to see Ronaldo depart Man United this summer – but we would be massively shocked to see him make the move to Premier League rivals Chelsea
