Liverpool fc news: Dutchman to sign massive deal, Rooney announces Liverpool ‘deserve title’ , Will Mane be at Liverpool in summer?

Guys here is the latest Liverpool fc news, gossip and transfer talk from

Fresh reports have claimed Virgil Van Dijk is ready to commit his long-term future at Liverpool.

Van Dijk is now regarded as one of the best central defenders in the game right now after helping Liverpool become one of best and most exciting teams to watch since his £75 million move from Southampton just a few seasons ago.

There has been a lot of speculation in the media which have suggested that Liverpool are hoping to tie the big Dutchman down to a big new deal this season to pretty much end all speculation that he could leave in the coming windows, with Madrid reportedly eyeing up a possible deal.

But now, according to 90 MIN, Van Dijk is ready to put pen-to-paper and agree a massive new deal to end all speculation on his future and commit to the Liverpool cause.

The Dutchman came second to Barcelona great Lionel Messi in the 2019 Ballon d’Or awards, and while there’s no great rush to get a deal done, it’s understood Van Dijk, 28, will sign before too long.

There is no doubt that with Van Dijk in the side, Liverpool are on course to become Premier League Champions and possibly defend that Champions League crown, and that is why there is a lot of speculation surrounding big clubs.

And having agreed lucrative new contracts for Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the past 12 months, it only seems fair the 2019 Ballon d’Or runner-up be recognised for his accomplishments.

Ex-Manchester United star Wayne Rooney ha claimed that Liverpool deserve to win the Premier League title this year.

Liverpool have been brilliant this season in the Premier League are only two wins away from landing their first title in more than thirty years, but the Coronavirus outbreak has meant that Jurgen Klopp and the fans have had to wait to pick up their trophy.

And there is even some talk in the media that the season could actually be scuppered, meaning that the Reds would not pick up the title and would have to wait until next season, maybe, to win their crown.

But writing in the Sunday Times, the player-coach at Derby County also indicated it may take until the end of this year to do so, but that football must follow the governments advice on how to deal with the health crisis.

“Liverpool will win the Premier League,” he said.

“Now, as you can imagine, I have Everton fans phoning me up saying: ‘The season has to be cancelled!’ And, of course, as an Evertonian and someone who played for Manchester United for 13 years, there’s a bit in me that thinks that would be good .

“But no. Liverpool have been fantastic. They have put so much work in. They deserve this title. Can you imagine waiting 30 years and then having it taken away like this? The right decision has been made.

“It’s also right in terms of promotion and relegation and Champions League places. These issues are so big for the clubs involved that I imagine there would be a lot of legal fights if the season was just abandoned.

“The fair thing is to finish 2019-20 – even if we have to lose next season in the process.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if finishing the season takes until the end of 2020. Football, like every other industry, is in unknown territory and, just like every other industry, has to listen to the advice and take all necessary precautions.

“For me, that rules out finishing the season behind closed doors.”

Steve McManaman has claimed Sadio Mane will not leave to sign for Real Madrid in the summer, but could he?

Mane has been in spectacular form for Liverpool this season as they seek to win the Premier League title for the first time in over thirty years, but his performances over the last 12 months have also meant that Real Madrid have started showing an interest in the attacker.

Reports say Zinedine Zidane has identified Mane as his top target ahead of the summer transfer window and is putting pressure on Real Madrid to spend up to £140m to secure his signature.

But Reds legend McManaman cannot see either Mane, who has netted 77 goals in just over 140 appearances for the club, or Mohamed Salah leaving Anfield this summer: ‘I’ll take rumours of Real Madrid’s interest in Sadio Mane and Erling Haaland with a pinch of salt,’ the former England midfielder told HORSERACING.NET

‘Regardless of how the Champions League turns out this season, the best teams in the world at present are the English teams. Real Madrid and Barcelona are not! ‘They both want to start again and bring in a few new players because they’ve both had disappointing seasons this year, so they’re going to start turning their squads over.

‘Despite this, I don’t think there’s any chance of either Sadio Mane or Mohammed Salah going to either Real Madrid or Barcelona.’ McManaman also says Erling Haaland should resist the urge to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, with Real Madrid eyeing a stunning deal for the striker.

‘It’s definitely too soon for him to leave because he seems happy and more importantly he’s playing regularly and scoring goals,’ the Liverpool icon added.

‘He should move when he’s a more experienced player after playing 200 or so games for Dortmund and playing 20 to 30 games in the Champions League – and not jump ship prematurely and head straight for Real Madrid.

‘You’ve seen what’s happened to Luka Jovic this season, he’s hardly kicked a ball for Real Madrid after having a wonderful season last year in Germany. Haaland doesn’t need that kind of pressure, and on top of that, I’ve heard that Real Madrid are interested in Kylian Mbappe instead – so both of them don’t need to be there at the same time.’

Mane has shown no desire to leave the club at the end of the season, but anything could happen once he wins that Premier League and if greed gets the better of him, Madrid will snap him up.

They have a big habit of paying big money and massive wages to get their men, something most players are unable to turn down and if Mane gets that offer, THEN YES, HE COULD LEAVE!
