Fans told deal days away from being announced – Defender wants Chelsea deal after Barca decision – Ricketts message sent

Will Rudiger leave Premier League?

It has been claimed that Antonio Rudiger would now prefer to stay – Fans sent clear message regarding Ronaldo Araujo and Ricketts message sent to fans in Chelsea news of the day…

The Ricketts family are currently the frontrunners to take over Chelsea and have major plans for the club, the fans have been told today

After weeks of speculation and rumours about who will buying the club, it has come down to the final few billionaires as the fans will finally see the back of Abramovic and say hello to a new owner, with one of them the Ricketts family

The heads of the Ricketts family, Joe and Marlene, donated $1million to a pro-Donald Trump Super PAC to help him get elected in 2016, while son Todd was the chief fundraiser for Trump’s re-election campaign and Emails from Joe Ricketts also resurfaced last week in which he described Muslims as ‘the enemy’

Fans have recently shown their desire to stop the Americans take over the club, but Eric Nordness – who oversaw the Ricketts’ £760million redevelopment of the Chicago Cubs’ Wrigley Park stadium – told the Evening Standard: “We have the template.

“I see so many eerie similarities, including the ground being next to the railway line, an urban, dense neighbourhood.

“It’s a stadium that holds about the same amount — we’re 41,500, they’re about 42,000.

“Stamford Bridge was first built in 1876, the Cubs were formed in 1876”

Nordness added: “It would have been easier [for the Cubs] to leave and play baseball somewhere else. And it would have been less expensive.

“But we knew the connection the fans had to Wrigley Field, we understood what kind of pain this would be.

“We started construction in 2015. We won the World Series in 2016. Fans would have missed seeing it at Wrigley. Fans waited years for this. Generations. How horrible would that have been?

“Unequivocally, we do not want to leave Stamford Bridge. We think it is super important.

“It is going to be extremely hard, but we have done this before. Our priority and desire is to play every season at Stamford Bridge.

“We are the only ones (out of the bidders) that have done this and we know what the challenges are. I feel like we can do it”

Meanwhile, Chelsea are highly likely to miss out on Barcelona star Ronald Araujo ahead of the summer transfer window, after his agent make some big news

Araujo is a man that has been in the headlines alot over the past few months as there has been alot of speculation that he could be leaving Barcelona at the end of the current season

He is out of contract in the summer of 2023 and it has been believed that if Barcelona cannot agree a new contract with the defender – then they would like to see him leave for a fee in the summer rather than nothing next year

That has led to alot of reports in the media which have suggested that Thomas Tuchel would like to take him to Stamford Bridge – as he will need to sign an immediate replacement for the departing Antonio Rudiger

However, amid all the speculation, it seems Araujo is close to signing a new contract with Barca, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has claimed that an agreement with Barcelona is close

His agent said: “The agreement to extend the contract is now really close.

“We’ve very good feelings – just final details are missing, it could be matter of days”

Most fans are not worried about the type of players that will be signed in the transfer window as the club always buy big. Right now they are more concerned about who will be buying the club

But Araujo is a top-class player – real special – and if the Blues did want an immediate replacement for Rudiger – Then Araujo would have been the player they wanted

However, the fact that he wants to stay is bad news – but it doesnt mean that a deal is totally off the table guys

And Finally, Antonio Rudiger would prefer to remain at Chelsea, after it has been reported that Barcelona have ended their interest in the German star

Rudiger has been a player that has been in the media alot over the past six months as his contract issues has led to many reports in the media that he will be leaving Chelsea in the summer

There has been alot of speculation about the clubs that are keen, but it seems that Barcelona are leading the chase as media oulets have claimed this week that his agent is in talks about a possible move to the Camp Nou

But despite the fact Chelsea are unable to open new talks with Rudiger because of the sanctions, and despite the reports that he is all set to leave – Barcelona have now made the decision to not carry on and get a deal done

That is because Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed a move for Rudiger now seems unlikely as the Catalan club have agreed terms with Araujo.

The Uruguayan’s new deal reportedly includes a release clause and is expected to last until June 2026.

Now, ournalist Christian Falk has claimed that Rudiger would now prefer to stay at the Bridge beyond the summer window.

The defender is waiting on the outcome of the Blues’ Champions League quarter final clash against Real Madrid before making a decision on his future.

He Tweeted: TRUE✅ @ToniRuediger still prefers to stay at @ChelseaFC He won‘t decide before the Matches against @realmadrid But @FCBarcelona @realmadrid @juventusfc @PSG_inside hope that he can‘t wait for a decision of a new owner of @ChelseaFC

Look, Rudiger is one of the best central defenders in the Premier League and a player that the club do not want to leave the club in the transfer window.

So it will be very interesting to see just what happens over the next few weeks, as Tuchel will hope the new owner will convince Rudiger stays well before he agrees a contract agreement to leave

It could be a frustrating few months for Chelsea fans
