Arteta confirms Arsenal looking to sign stopper, Gunners given green light to sign Upamecano, Midfielder ‘is perfect signing’ for Arsenal and Arsenal given green light to sign Sabitzer?

Arsenal sent Upamecano message, Arteta looking for new stopper, Buendia could be perfect signing, Arsenal given green light to make Sabitzer move in Arsenal roundup….

Red Bull Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has one again admitted that they may have to sell their best players, with Dayot Upamecano a player that Arsenal would like

Regarded as one of the very best and most exciting young defenders in Europe right now, Upamecano is making a real name for himself over at RB and is tipped to make a move to one of the biggest clubs in the game.

Arsenal have long been linked with a move for the young man, and considering that Mikel Arteta knows that he needs to keep improving that back-line, they are once again being linked with a move for the lad.

And now amid all the speculation, Mintzlaff has once again admitted that they would sell their top performers if it make financial sense, commenting on potentially having to sell players, Mintzlaff told Sport BILD: “We have a squad that is very broad in terms of quality. So we will sell top performers again if it makes financial sense and we can cope with it from a sporting point of view.

“When I think of [Timo] Werner, [Matheus] Cunha, [Naby] Keita or [Diego] Demme, we’ve already made a lot of money and still made progress in terms of the sporting side.

“Overall, we have invested a lot in our team, no question about that. But look: the current squad had a market value of less than €250million (£225m) when the individual players made their debut.

“And if we now take the current market value, we are at around €550m (£495m). You have to take this plus of over €300m (£270m) into account when you talk about investments. We are creating value with our path.”

Former Arsenal forward Kevin Campbell believes Emiliano Buendia would be a perfect signing for the club.

One area of the pitch that Arteta is reportedly looking to improve on is midfield, as the Spaniard has been lacking a bit of creative spark in the middle of the pitch over the last few months, and he needs to get that solved.

That has led to rumours in the media that Arsenalfc are interested in trying to secure a transfer deal for Buendia, who has been impressing down in the Championship for Norwich this season, with six goals and as many assists to his name already.

He has already admitted that he has a desire to make the move back to the Premier League, and now, amid all the speculation, Arsenalfc have been told that Buendia could be the perfect signing for the club to make.

“I like him. He has the qualities that Mikel Arteta is looking for in a player,” Campbell told Football Insider.

“Not only can he pick a pass, he can score and he works hard. He has that energy which has been missing from the team for long periods of this season.

“I think he would be a very clever signing. There are some really good players in the Championship and Buendia is one of them. He would fit what Arteta wants to do perfectly.”

Red Bull Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has one again admitted that they may have to sell their best players, and that could mean that Arsenal could get Marcel Sabitzer

Mikel Arteta has done a decent job at the Emirates since his arrival earlier in the summer and he will have done a very good job if he is able to finish inside that top four spot, and bring Champions league football back to the Emirates on a weekly basis.

That means that he will need to delve into his transfer kitty during the summer window and try to acquire a few players that will be able to come in and make an immediate impact on the side, by adding some goals, assists and performances throughout the course of the year.

And Austrian Sabitzer, who can play multiple roles in central midfield and also occupy a right-wing or left-wing position, has been in fantastic form for the Bundesliga side this season and is already in double figures in terms of goals.

It is claimed that Sabitzer is a player that Mikel Arteta would like to bring to Arsenalfc this month, but with COVID still flying around, it is becoming more difficult for player to change clubs, and change countries

But now amid all the speculation, Mintzlaff has once again admitted that they would sell their top performers if it make financial sense, commenting on potentially having to sell players, Mintzlaff told Sport BILD: “We have a squad that is very broad in terms of quality. So we will sell top performers again if it makes financial sense and we can cope with it from a sporting point of view.

Mikel Arteta has revealed that his Arsenal side are seeking to bring a new stopper to the Emirates.

Arsenal spent some decent amounts of money in the last transfer window, and although they have had an inconsistent start to the new season, there squad is alot better than the one that won the FA Cup last year.

Runar Alex Runarsson was a player that arrived at the Emirates from Dijon in the summer, with the 25-year-old committing his future to Arsenal through to 2024, but so far he has not made that much on an impact on the side.

That means that Arteta is left with Bernd Leno between the sticks, but even he has not been the best this season, and although he has just brought a stopper to the club, Arteta has revealed that Arsenalfc are now seeking to sign a new goalkeeper.

He Said: “We are assessing what is going to happen with the three positions, the discussions we had in the summer with Edu and the club were a little bit different to what actually happened because of the transfer window and the situation that developed with Emi at the end of the day.

“We didn’t have much time to do what we really wanted to do and we decided to assess the situation now in this window, which is what we are trying to do, and we will make a decision about how we want to move forward in those three positions in the goalkeeping area.”
