Scamacca and Antonio West Ham claim made after January arrival!

Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio may struggle to get some game time after the West Ham arrival of Danny Ings – fans have been told

West Ham made the big decision this week to make a move and try to complete a deal for Danny Ings – a man that is rated very highly in the Premier League but not happy at Aston Villa.

He is a proven 20-goals a season striker – and a player that David Moyes really wanted to add to the side in order to get away from this relegation battle that the club find themselves in.

And after seeing the England international make the move to London Stadium – Noel Whelan has claimed Scamacca and Antonio may struggle for game time following the arrival of Danny Ings.

Whelan told Football Insider.: “I think Ings is a massive signing.

“I don’t think the fans will appreciate just how big of a signing this is. He was Villa’s top scorer, he’s a great finisher, he scores in different ways – I think he’s the first choice.

“From now until the end of the season, I think he will be very hard to remove from that starting eleven.

“West Ham need to get the best out of Jarrod Bowen, and I think Ings can do that as well.

“He can bring others into play, he’s strong, he can pass.

“Maybe Scamacca can come in if Moyes wants to play a two-man strikeforce, but Ings has to be the main man now.”
