Charles Sagoe Jr has revealed that he is excited about his loan move from ARSENAL FC

The Arsenal forward has made the move to the Swans on loan for the remainder of the season after the decision was made to allow him to go out on loan for a few months.

He’s excited by the opportunity ahead of him, particularly with Swansea’s reputation for given young players opportunities, as he has seen with his Arsenal academy teammate Charlie Patino.

“It was a factor knowing this club gives a chance to young players,” he said.

“I feel like when I was watching the highlights and the games that I’ve been tuning into. Charlie has been playing really well, and him being promoted up and playing consistently had a big say in me coming to Swansea because I could see it’s a young squad, and young manager and I just want to be part of it.

“When I get the opportunity, I’m going to take it with open arms and go from there.”

“Coming from Arsenal to Swansea is a big shift, but the players and staff have been really welcoming and made me feel at home straight away,” he added.

“I’ve spoken to Remy a bit and he only had positive things to say about the club.

“It’s very different to London, but I feel like the boys will just welcome me in and make me feel part of the family. I feel like I’ll get comfortable very quickly.

“I think it’s the right time to go out on loan. I spoke to a few people because I was thinking that this could be the next step in my career and really help me develop my game.

“I’m going to have a lot of challenges, but it’s about getting through it and becoming a better player from this.

“From a personal perspective, I want to get minutes in my legs for the first team and then try to pick up goals and assists.”
