ARSENAL chief Edu reckons Bukayo Saka can become one of the world’s best players after signing a new long-term deal.

The England winger’s current deal at the Emirates Stadium was due to expire at the end of next season, with Saka’s new deal a major boost to Arsenal and manager Mikel Arteta.

Saka, who has 14 goals and 11 assists for Arsenal this season, has joined Aaron Ramsdale and Gabriel Martinelli in committing their futures to the club this season.

And Edu has claimed that Saka can become one of the worlds best players – He said: “It has been so enjoyable to work with everyone to extend Bukayo’s contract.

“It is a very proud moment for us all at the club, to work hard with Bukayo and experience his great journey from our academy through to our first team.

“Bukayo has now developed into one of the best young players in the game and we’re looking forward to enjoying together this next stage of his career with us.”

Saka has admitted that he has everything at the club to be successful speaking to the official website he said:

“I’m just really happy. There’s been a lot of talking and it’s been a while, but I’m here now. I think this is the right club, the right place to make the next step. It’s a beautiful club – look where we are.

“For me, it’s about achieving my personal ambitions; how much I push myself and demand from myself each game, week in, week out.

‘Then I have all the right people around me in terms of family, and when I come to the training ground, my teammates, the coaching staff.

“I think I have everything I need to become the best player I can be, and that’s why I’m happy to stay here and be here for the future, because I really believe that we can achieve big things.”
