Arsenal told news signing to make big impact, Arteta wants Brazilian, Arsenal told target has agreement to leave, Havertz message sent in Arsenal news of the week
Arteta makes Coutinho decision, Saliba ready for Arsenal, Tagliafico leaving Ajax, Havertz message sent in Arsenal news of the week
Mikel Arteta has reportedly “already confirmed” a transfer plan to sign Philippe Coutinho and is confident he can get the best out of the Brazilian.
There has been alot of transfer speculation, and we mean alot, over the past few months about Arsenal trying to bring the Brazilian star back to the Premier League, with many reports suggesting that he was done at Barcelona and had no future with the club.
And Arsenal are one of the favourites to bring him back to the Premier League, along with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, who have both been credited with a possible summer deal over the past few months.
Coutinho, 27, is currently on loan at Bayern Munich but will be leaving the German giants in the coming weeks as they have not decided to extend his stay at the Allianz arena and have not decided to sign him on a permanent basis.
And according to ABC in Spain, Gunners boss Arteta has laid out a plan to make Coutinho an integral player in his side next season, knowing that Barcelona are keen to offload a number of their fringe players.
Only Lionel Messi, Frenkie de Jong and goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen are off limits as Nou Camp bosses desperately try to patch up the leaks in their accounts.
And the report suggests that Arsenal will look to try and sign Coutinho on a loan basis before trying to nail down his services on a long-term basis, as no-one quite knows if he can reach the levels that he managed before that move to Barcelona just a few seasons ago.
Saint-Etienne boss Claude Puel has told Arsenal and Mikel Arteta that William Saliba is ‘ready’ to make an immediate impact in the Premier League.
Arsenal beat off a number of top clubs last summer to acquire the services of Saliba, who is rated very highly across Europe, but they decided that he was not quite ready to make the move to the Emirates this season, and decided to let him stay at St-Etienne for another year.
However, there is a massive feeling that he will be a big part of the plans at Arsenal next season under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, especially as there is big rumours in the media all suggesting that Arsenal are keen to sign a few defenders to solidify that dodgy back-line they have.
The Frenchman, 18, has proved his potential after making 17 appearances for the Ligue 1 side this season, and Puel has opened up and told Arteta that the new Arsenal signing is ready to make an impact on the Premier League.
‘He is ready,’ Puel said in an interview with The Athletic.
‘He is a fantastic player. ‘He is a young player but with a lot of maturity in his play. Also, in his life. He is a player with a good feeling and spirit.
‘It will be hard for us without him but I think it is a fantastic opportunity for Arsenal.
‘I think they need a good centre-back and have done for some time, and I think William is the right player.
‘I think he can play all the time in the first team at Arsenal.’
Arsenal target Nicolas Tagliafico’s agent has told Ajax his man will leave the club this summer, with the Emirates a possible destination.
Arsenal have been in the transfer headlines alot over the past few months as indications suggest that boss Mikel Arteta is keen to spend some serious money and improve areas of the back-line ahead of next season.
And despite being impressed with kieran Tierney, Arteta is reportedly looking to bring in a new left-back to the club, with the impressive Tagliafico on the shopping list of the Arsenal.
Ex-Arsenal boss Unai Emery was keen on trying to sign Tagliafico last summer, but could not get a deal done as Ajax did not want to lose too many of their star names after a tremendous season back in the big time
The Argentina ace, 27, has evolved into one of Europe’s best left-backs since joining the Dutch giants from Independiente two years ago and He has been watched by a number of clubs over the last few seasons, including Chelsea, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Now it seems that Arsenal could manage to complete a transfer deal in the summer if they wish, as his agent has come out and revealed that the left-back will be looking to leave Ajax in the summer window.
Agent Ricardo Schlieper said on the Sun: “We are looking for a transfer from Tagliafico.
“We have agreed with Ajax for a departure this year.
“After spending two and a half seasons at the club, now is the perfect time.”
Former Liverpool forward turned pundit Don Hutchison has hailed high-profile Arsenal target, Kai Havertz as a faster version of Mesut Ozil.
Regarded as one of the finest talent in the Bundesliga right now, there has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few months that Havertz is ready to leave Leverkusen and test himself at a higher level.
Arsenal along with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have all reportedly been eyeing up a transfer deal that would cost them in excess of £89 million, which will surely rise in the coming transfer windows.
The German will be a hot property when the transfer window reopens, and he has continued to enhance his reputation as the German League restarted two weekends ago, as he has scored in the two fixtures that he has played for his side so far.
Now former Everton star Hutchison is the latest individual to sing his praises, and he even claimed that the youngster is a “Taller, faster version of Mesut Ozil”.
‘I think he’s far too good for Leverkusen. I think he goes to the very biggest clubs in Europe and I think he walks into most sides,’ he told ESPN FC.
‘He’s certainly got to fight for his place but the talent’s there at 20 years of age.
‘The one player I would liken him to is a taller, faster version of Mesut Ozil. I think he plays off the left-hand side, through the middle, he’s predominantly left-footed, he’s very silky, easy on the eye.
‘So again, yes Liverpool would be a great fit, but even Barca rate him that highly they are willing to trade three players for him.’
