£83M star OFFICIALLY reveals ‘he is hoping’ to sign up with Arsenal ‘conversations had’

Real Madrid linked William Saliba has said he will “hopefully” sign a new contract at Arsenal as he has revealed that there has already been contact with the club and his agent about a possible deal.

The Frenchman has established himself as a key player and regular under manager Mikel Arteta over the last two campaigns, playing a crucial role in their last two campaigns as they finished second behind Manchester City in the Premier League table.

He is one of the big reasons why ARSENAL have been so defensively good over the past few seasons, and his partnership with Gabriel is arguably one of the very best in the Premier League and maybe even the Champions League.

His commanding performances at the back have made him one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe and as Real looks to bolster their squad for the future, Saliba appears to be at the top of their wish list.

The French defender has two years left on his contract in north London, with Saliba’s centre-back partner Gabriel signing new terms earlier this summer, and now the Frenchman has revealed that he is hoping to sign up with the Gunners – asked after Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Newcastle about if he will sign a new deal, Saliba said: “Yeah, hopefully.

“Of course, there is nothing now but there is a good conversation with my agent and the club. Let’s see.”

ARSENAL dont want to sell Saliba, he seems happy enough for now and that is why we cant see him leaving the Emirates unless the Gunners get an offer that is far too good to turn down.

Arsenal will want him to agree a new contract ASAP, they dont want Madrid making an offer this summer
