Forget Juventus as Former Arsenal star tells Manchester United ‘i want to win silverware’ at Old Trafford
Former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is reportedly keen on bringing a trophy to Manchester United, according to an interview he gave with the club’s magazine.
Since his move to Old Trafford last season in a shock January deal, Sanchez has not been able to live upto the expectations that he managed at Arsenal and has been a massive flop both under Jose Mourinho and new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
And that has led to a lot of speculation in the media which have claimed that he could be on his way out of the club at the end of the season, with Italian giants Juventus reportedly ready to end his Old Trafford nightmare and take him to Seria A in the summer.
But despite all the speculation surrounding his future, Sanchez has told United fans that he is more interested in bringing silverware back to the club rather than speculation surrounding his future.
“I want to keep showing my love for football. I know what I can do. I have belief in my ability,” the forward told Inside United.
“United are such an important club, not only in England but on a global level, and I would love to help bring a trophy to the supporters.”
He added: “Obviously, I want to make the United fans really happy. I want to score goals. I want to bring them joy. I want to win silverware.”
Should United sell Sanchez in the summer window?
Sanchez has not been impressive during his time at Old Trafford and if United receive the right offer, then they should sell the Chilean as they have a number of wingers that have been top-class this season.
Sanchez is no longer the player that he was at Arsenal and many fans would surely not be to unhappy if he did leave the club at the end of the season.
