Micah Richards hopes Manchester United DON’T sign Jadon Sancho this summer transfer window
Sancho is one of the very best wingers in the game right now and a player that is tipped to go on and become one of the best players in the game, and it is no secret that United are desperate to sign him this summer.
However, there has been constant speculation that United do not want to pay the asking price that Dortmund have set this summer, and have now made a ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ deal worth £90million up front, with a further £15m in add-ons to the Bundesliga side.
But amid the speculation, The former Manchester City star and TV pundit thinks the finances involved in a potential deal would create enormous pressure on the young man, He wrote for Mail Online: “Jadon Sancho continues to be linked with Manchester United and it is their ambition to sign him before the transfer window closes. I really hope they don’t.
“Sancho to Old Trafford would be the headline-grabbing deal of the summer but it would also be the most expensive. The finance involved in a deal of this nature would create enormous pressure for everyone, not least a 20-year-old who is far from developed.”
Wolves star Raul Jimenez admits he is ‘open to everything’ amid speculation that Manchester United are keen on a transfer deal
United have been eyeing up a possible deal for a main striker this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows that he needs to add to his attack before the end of the transfer window, and Jimenez is a player that he been linked.
The Mexican ace scored 44 goals in 99 appearances in his first two seasons with the Molineux club, and His form has been similarly impressive during the start of the 2020/21 campaign, with goals against Sheffield United and Manchester City in Wolves ‘ opening Premier League matches.
But Jimenez has made no secret of his desire to play Champions League football during a speech at the Mexican embassy in London, and he has admitted that he is open to everything amid the £40 million United speculation
“I have three more seasons left [on my contract],” he was quoted on the SUN “If I stay here at Wolves, I’d be very happy.
“We know that anything can happen and there could be a change. I’m open to everything.
“I already had the luck to play some games [in the Champions League for former club Benfica]. It’s something incredible and it’s in my plans to play again, but first I have to do what I have to do with Wolves.”
Manchester United have been told that all signs suggest that Dele Alli is leaving Tottenham this summer transfer window
Alli has been the subject of much transfer speculation over the past few weeks, as reports in the media have suggested that Jose Mourinho will allow him to leave, with both Real Madrid and PSG ready to offer him a summer move.
He was once again left out of the matchday squad against Southampton last week, in which Tottenham run out 5-2 winners, and that has once again stirred up reports that he is on his way out of the club this summer.
It is believed that PSG are the favourites to prise Alli away from the club this summer, if he does leave the club, and now Manchester United have joined the chase to try and get a deal done, having been linked with the midfielder in the past
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live Jenas has said that he believes Alli will leave Spurs because his relationship with Jose Mourinho is broken beyond repair: “I don’t feel like it’s one that can be reconciled, I feel like it’s a parting of the ways,” Jenas said.
“Everything Jose does is to get a reaction,” Jenas continued. “I would be concerned if I was Dele. He has always been loved by everyone and every manager.
“No doubt that his form has dipped over the last 18 months, he knows that more than anybody.
“Two weeks ago I would have said, if I was Dele Alli, I would stay and dig in. But all the signs lead to getting him out of there.
“At the end of the season there’s the Euros – he would be desperate to get back in Gareth Southgate’s thoughts. The only way he is going to do that is by playing football and scoring goals again.
“Right now it doesn’t feel like Jose Mourinho or Spurs is the place for him. I’d be looking to move on now.”
Jamie Carragher says Manchester United must walk away from a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho if they cant get a deal done.
It is no secret that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to make Sancho the statement signing for the club this summer, and has been linked with a move for the past 12 months or so.
It is understood Ed Woodward has offered a ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ deal worth £90million up front, with a further £15m in add-ons to the Bundesliga side, but if the offer is rejected this time, Carragher has told the Red Devils that they should walk away from the deal if they can get it wrapped up.
Carragher said in his Telegraph column: “United’s hesitation in meeting Sancho’s valuation so far in this transfer window feels like it is an attempt to reverse the culture of overpaying.
“As fine a player as Sancho is, is he worth £108 million? And what impact would such a deal have on the game time of Mason Greenwood, who looks like the best young attacking talent in the country by some distance, scoring 17 goals last season?
“If United think Sancho is worth it, the deal should have been done already. What I cannot understand is if United do not think so, why haven’t they moved on? If the deal is not right, regardless of how much it upsets fans, walking away and buying an alternative target can be a sign of strength, not weakness.”
This has dragged on for months now and it is stopping United from completing other deals that they need, but United wont give up the chase.
