United urged to sign world class midfielder, Man United told to continue Sancho chase, Liverpool claim made and Fred tells United he is staying

United told to sign Thiago, Dortmund expected Sancho at Liverpool, United told to continue Sancho chase, Fred wants to stay in Manchester United roundup…

Fred has reminded United fans he is NOT leaving in a rush, despite the signing Donny van de Beek.

After helping Ajax become a top-level club once again, it was widely expected that Van de Beek would make the move to Real Madrid this summer as they reportedly had an agreement to sign the midfielder.

However, that move did not happen and United decided to swoop in and try to get the player signed, which they did, and for a bargain as he agreed to join the club for a £40 million fee.

And that has led to rumours in the media that his arrival at the club could spell the end of Fred at Old Trafford, despite the midfielder becoming a firm fans favourite at the club over the last 12 months.

However, the Brazilian is not willing to give up that easy and has told the club he is in no rush to leave.

The Brazilian told FourFourTwo: “I want to stay here – that’s my desire,” he told FourFourTwo.

“I don’t want to leave. As I’ve always said, I want to be an important player and win trophies for this club.

“[Van de Beek’s arrival] means we’re getting stronger and that’s good for everyone at United.

“We need more players for this season because it will be even more demanding: the calendar is crammed and we need a strong squad to compete for every title.

“When you play at a big club, there will always be competition – I’m used to it. It’s been like that from day one at United.”

Rio Ferdinand has urged Manchester United to continue their chase to sign up Jadon Sancho this summer.

Sancho enjoyed a stellar season with Dortmund, scoring 17 goals and creating 17 more in 32 outings, and the 20-year-old has been handed a €120 million (£108m/$142m) asking price by the German outfit.

That fee has stopped Manchester United from wrapping up a transfer deal for the England winger, as they are only reportedly keen to pay around £71 million to bring him to the Premier League this summer.

But despite all the speculation that Dortmund are not in any rush to sell one of their stars, Ferdinand has once again told United to carry on trying to take Sancho to Manchester this summer.

“I think you have to look at it and think to yourself, Jadon Sancho is someone who adds a lot of goals, a lot of assists, creativity, he draws players out of position,” he said on GOAL

“You need two or three players to come and deal with him, which now allows other people like Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial more space. What that means in terms of goals and opportunities – who knows?”

Gary Neville has explained why Manchester United would benefit from signing Thiago Alcantara this summer window

Despite the fact that Liverpool are now the Champions of the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp knows that he needs to delve into that transfer kitty and try to improve his squad in the summer window.

Thiago reportedly told Bayern Munich that he wants to leave the club and is eager to test himself in the Premier League over the next few seasons, but despite all the links to Liverpool, the Reds have so far failed to make any moves.

Man City and Arsenal have also been linked with him, but recent reports claim United have been ‘invited’ to negotiate for the signing of Thiago, who would only cost the club around £27 million to acquire.

Now, Neville has opened up on why United should try and sign the little midfielder this summer, He told 90min: “United weren’t really strongly linked with him and I can see why with Pogba and Fernandes. But watching him play in a two-man midfield for Bayern Munich I don’t think he needs to play in a forward role.

“I think he can play deeper and United’s players in that position – Fred, [Scott] McTominay, [Nemanja] Matic – have all done okay. But if [Thiago] was there… I think he’s clever enough to intercept, read the game and do the things that a holding midfielder can.

“You don’t need to be six feet tall, tackle and quick to play in that position anymore. You just need to be intelligent and understand the game, and he’s got that in abundance.

“I don’t know why United wouldn’t try and get him, particularly if he was going to Liverpool because it would strengthen them.”

Jan Aage Fjortfoft has revealed Borussia Dortmund bosses expected Manchester United bound Jadon Sancho to join Liverpool!

The England winger has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, with latest reports claiming the Red Devils have made a ‘breathrough’ in a possible deal.

It is claimed that Sancho has already agreed personal terms with United and all the Premier League giants have to do is meet that massive £100 million asking price that Dortmund are currently seeking.

But Sancho was also linked with a move to Anfield before the coronavirus hit, and chiefs at his current club believed he would end up working under Jurgen Klopp rather than making the move to Old Trafford.

The former Premier League player-turned-pundit said on Empire of the Kop: “What I have said is that insiders in Dortmund thought that Sancho would end up at Liverpool.

“They knew of course that the CEO of Dortmund, Watzke, and Klopp, are great friends. Of course, Klopp loves the player, but which manager wouldn’t?

“If he would prefer Liverpool or Manchester United? I have no clue!”

This is a transfer rumour that is very frustrating as Sancho to United would be a massive deal for the club to make, but at the end of the day, if United do not want to pay that massive fee, then they should move on and try to sign players that they are willing to pay for.

If he does join United in the coming weeks, then Liverpool have missed out on a real player that fans would love to see at Anfield on a weekly basis.

And United will get that marquee signing that the club have been seeking, and a player that will be one of the very best in the game, if he develops and makes the right career choices.
