Liverpool told to sign £100m star, £70 million German to United backed, Italian told ‘wait for Man United’ move

Here is a roundup of the latest Manchester United and Liverpool news from icfootballnews.

LIVERPOOL TOLD TO SIGN SANCHO

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been urged to sign Manchester United target Jadon Sancho, by former star Emile Heskey.

The 19-year-old England international, who left Manchester City to join the Bundesliga outfit in 2017, emerged as a top summer target for United, but Dortmund refused to sell and United were not prepared to pay such a big amount for the youngster.

The lad is a creative force and was one of the top assist players in Europe last season, and considering United are in need of adding some much needed excitement, goals and creativity on the wings, the lad is growing into their perfect signing.

German outlet BILD have handed the likes of United a massive boost in the chase to try and sign up the young Englishman at the end of the season, as Dortmund have identified Hertha winger Javairo Dilrosun and Valencia’s Ferran Torres as possible replacements for the creative force, meaning that Sancho could be on the transfer market.

But Anfield hero, former England striker Heskey, has talked up Sancho and insisted he would be a great signing for the Premier League leaders, telling Starsport: ‘Jadon Sancho would be a good fit for any of the top two or three clubs, to be honest with you.

‘What he brings to the team, I think he would be fantastic for anyone in the Premier League, or in the world, he’s that good. His goals, assists, penetrating runs, frightening defences. He’d be good for anyone.’

MULLER TO MAN UNITED BACKED

Bastian Schweinsteiger has claimed a move to Manchester United would greatly benefit Thomas Muller.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seriously needs to make some big moves in the coming transfer windows to help improve this current United side, which is lacking in world class players having seem the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea take a number of their transfer targets.

And there had been some speculation in the media suggesting that United could make a move to try and sign up the impressive Muller in the next window, especially after reports emerged suggesting that he was done at Bayern and was keen on a move.

After 19 years with the club, Bild report that Muller has decided to leave after growing tired of a lack of playing time under Kovac, as Muller has started just three league games this term and has lost his spot in the side to Philippe Coutinho, who joined the club from Barcelona last summer.

The German’s current deal runs until 2021 and it has been reported that the German giants would be seeking a massive £70 million to let one of the biggest players go, especially as they will want to use those funds to help on improve the current side.

And Schweinsteiger, who recently announced his retirement, believes a move to United could revive Muller’s career. ‘Van Gaal really wanted him, always asked me, “What’s your friend Thomas doing?” He would have done us good on United back then,’ said Schweinsteiger on the BILD website

‘But Thomas was a bit younger, he did not want to leave Munich. Maybe that has changed in the meantime ‘His situation is different to mine back then. I was playing every game, then van Gaal contacted me, I wanted to try something new.

‘Thomas is often on the bench lately, a change of air can do him good at the end of his career. He still has great quality’

ALLEGRI SHOULD WAIT FOR UNITED JOB.

Former Juventus star Max Allegri has been told to wait for the Manchester United job to become available.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer managed to secure a permanent move to Old Trafford last season after a decent start to life back at the club, but his transfer dealings over the summer and a dodgy start to the new season, means there is a lot of transfer speculation in the media that he could leave the club.

And there has been talk in the media that a move to United is on the cards for Allegri, who was heavily linked with replacing Arsene Wenger at Arsenal in 2018 but he decided to stay in Turin for a further season in order to try and get the Italian Champions challenging for that Champions League title.

The Italian is now being linked with the vacant position at Bayern Munich following Niko Kovac’s dismissal but Capello believes Allegri should target Old Trafford, telling Radio Anch’io Sport: ‘He’d be a good fit at Bayern Munich, although I don’t know how welcome Italians are in Germany after Ancelotti.

‘England’s exciting, there’s the possibility of working well and the Premier League is a championship that enriches you. If I was Allegri, I’d go to Manchester.’

Look Solskjaer has been given the funds to try and get this United side challenging for that Premier League title, but even though a number of faces has been signed by the club legend, this United side is lacking world class players.

And even though many fans love Ole, bringing in a tactical genius like Allegri would be a very good move from United as he is one of the best bosses in the game right now and would help attract the kind of players that the club seriously need.
