Defender announces ‘i am happy’ after Chelsea OFFICIALLY announce fifth summer deal

Chelsea and Monaco have confirmed that defender Melang Sarr has agreed a loan move to the Frecnh Club
The talented defender came to Stamford Bridge with alot of hop that he could develop into one of the very best defenders in the game – but he has not been given the game time needed for that to happen – and he has been a bit of a flop
Sarr now becomes the fifth member of the Chelsea first-team squad to depart this summer as Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen departed at the end of their contracts for Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively while Romelu Lukaku joined Inter Milan on loan and Timo Werner re-signed with RB Leipzig.
First-team football was never guaranteed at Stamford Bridge – especially as Thomas Tuchel is looking to sign a few new defenders and this summer Sarr was prepared to leave Chelsea once more.
There was interest from a number of clubs but it was Monaco who won the race to take the defender on loan until next summer – and The club’s sporting director, Paul Mitchell, has admitted that he is delighted with the deal.
He said on the club website: “It is a great joy for us to welcome Malang to the Club. His technical profile and versatility will bring new solutions to our defensive unit. At 23 years of age, Malang knows the demands of the top level.
“In our desire to give our squad more experience of the biggest games, he has the profile we were looking for and he will be a great help to us to face the demanding schedule that we have.”
Speaking to Monaco’s website, Sarr said: “I am very happy to join AS Monaco and to be back in Ligue 1, a league in which I started and which I know well.
“I would like to thank the Club for its confidence.”

Maybe Sarr was never meant to come to the Premier League – or maybe he joined the wrong club – but right now – this is the best option for the lad as he needs game time
