Serial winner to make Newcastle move? – £100M Toon target wants Pre move – PSG want £100M deal
Here is a roundup of the top Newcastle United news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –
There has been some stunning reports that Jose Mourinho could make a shock move to join Newcastle United.
The former Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham boss leaves Roma following a 3-1 defeat to AC Milan on Sunday.
It leaves them ninth in Serie A after 20 games of the season, and there is all sorts of speculation about where he could end up over the next few months, with Newcastle a clubs that has been mentioned.
And now Sky Sports News reporter Gary Cotterill has been speaking on what’s next for Jose Mourinho following his sacking by Roma:
“He is box-office, wherever he goes, and lots of people will say it would be great to see him back in the Premier League.
“I don’t think he will be short of options. He turned down Portugal in the summer. He turned down a big-money move to Saudi Arabia.
“He has always been linked with a return to Real Madrid. Him and Florentino Perez remain close. But Carlo Ancelotti is now staying at Real Madrid.
“We know that Roy Hodgson is leaving Crystal Palace in the summer. Will they go for Gareth Southgate with his history here? Would that free up the England job? I’ve heard his name mentioned in some phone-in programmes, fans saying he would be great for it.
“Then, of course, Newcastle. You can’t go far without hearing his name linked with Newcastle. He calls himself a ‘little Magpie’ because of his love for Sir Bobby Robson.
“Eddie Howe, of course, is still extremely popular at Newcastle. But they are out of Europe and 10th in the league, albeit with injury problems.
“I don’t think the fans would take kindly to him being removed, but one manager they might accept in his place would be Jose Mourinho, because of those Sir Bobby Robson links.
“And there’s Chelsea. When they were looking for a new manager in the summer, I was of the understanding that Mourinho wouldn’t turn down a chance to return for a third time, although it looks like the ownership have got a different direction these days.”
OSIMHEN PREMIER LEAGUE BOUND –
Napoli striker and Newcastle target Victor Osimhen says he will “definitely play in the Premier League one day”.
Osimhen, 25, has reportedly been interesting a number of big-name Premier League clubs, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcatsle believed to be keen on the frontman.
However, while Osimhen, who is currently representing Nigeria at the 2023 Afcons, says he wants to try the Premier League one day, he was also keen to stress he is happy in Naples, where he won Serie A last season.
“I’m happy with the President, I have a good relationship with him, I cannot lie I have a seriously good relationship with him,” he said after Nigeria’s 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea.
“He has been with me since I signed for the club in 2020, I have a good relationship with his family as well and for me, it is always important to have this good relationship to make sure there is nothing wrong with regard to the type of relationship I have with him, and his family.
“So for me, ADL has been the type of president who has been supportive of me outside the pitch, and of course I’ve tried to give my all to win the Scudetto for them. So for me, it is always important to have this type of relationship and to be happy with the individual and the owner of the club.
“Of course, one day definitely [will play in the Premier League], but now I have other plans in my career I’m looking forward to, but when the time comes, everyone will know.”

Osimhen is one of the very best strikers in the world – he is a man that all the big clubs would love to sign and he is certainly a player that Newcastle would need to sign to make that next step in his career.
If he comes onto the market – The Toon should should try and get a deal done, he would be a world class signing!
PSG WANT GUIMARAES –
Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing a swoop on Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes, talkSPORT understands.
Since their Saudi Arabia takeover, the Magpies have been very careful to make sure they do not breach FFP rules and invite any unwanted scrutiny, but The Magpies could be forced to cash in on some of their most prized assets to raise transfer funds for the summer.
PSG are a team who could look to take advantage of this situation with a move for Brazilian midfielder Guimaraes – who is easily regarded as one of the best midfielders at the club and one of the best in the Premier League.
He currently has a £100million release clause in his contract and they would be powerless to stop him leaving if they met that.
He joined the club for a reported £40m in January 2022 from Lyon, turning down Arsenal to move to the north east. And the Brazilian has played 87 times for the club and scored 11 goals.

Losing Guimaraes would be a huge blow to Newcastle, who quickly established himself as a fan favourite and a man that Eddie Howe can really rely on – it would be a massive loss if he left the club.
Newcastle want to be a club that is able to challenge for that Premier League title, they want Champions League football every season, but if they have to sell their best players that will never happen.
The Toon fans will be furious if the club allow Bruno to depart the club, especially as the Toon are one of the richest in world football. So it will be very interesting to see how this all plays out guys that is for sure.
